I went to Hong Kong to try out the famous BBQ suckling pig and beer and wine drunken hotpot. The suckling pig was cooked 2 ways and was by far some of the best I've ever had. The drunken hotpot was on top of a skyscraper and the theatrics, as well as the food, were excellent.

The thing about Hong Kong.. I feel like the overall look of the streets in Hong Kong have stayed relatively similar over the past 20 years. I was there studying abroad and it looks so much the same in many ways. Incredible

I love the explanation of the different use for the longer chopsticks (used for cooking) and the shorter chopsticks (used for eating) but why were you then using the longer ones to eat? Did I miss something?

As a local from Hong kong, I can tell you that the price is definitely reasonably priced. What mikey ordered from the hot pot can definitely feed 10+ people, and the best thing is, you don't need to tip your waiters!

oh mikey so in seattle's international district/china town community garden, every summer we have a community pig roast where we start friday morning and prep the pig from scratch and take turns roasting it all through the night and eat it for lunch the next day together (we all nighter together talking, eating potluck, and playing games, all in celebration of the summer pig). if its still on for this year, should i tell you so you can hopefully come? sounds right up your alley
