Beerus: I told Frieza to blow up Planet Vegeta Vegeta: So you’re saying you authorized the destruction of my planet, the extinction of my race, and are the reason I’m not king and had to spend my childhood as a slave Beerus:.........Yeah *Point* *blank* *final* *flash*
Kinda fits Abridged Vegeta XD Beerus: Do you think the saiyans should have been destroyed? Vegeta: Yeah, we wrecked stuff. It was destiny. Beerus: I told Frieza to do it. Vegeta: How dare you wreck my stuff!
even if he did that, this was Beerus' reintroduction chapter. it was inevitable that he would wash Vegeta. it's basically how we know who's strong in the series at this point.
@@chancecarlson2023 who said he hit his cap? he's strong, and more than likely hasn't trained in years as there isn't (wasn't) anyone as strong as him besides the angels. if he trained now, he'd still definitely get stronger.
@@vurshawn1358 as if jiren himself didn't have a shit ton of plot armor himself? Oh mastered MUI? Well I'm just gonna get real angry >:( now I can fight on equal ground!
Honestly, I've tried watching other RU-vidrs reviewing this chapter but they couldn't have done it like you do. So I've just been waiting for you to post this video. Your videos are just top tier. ❤
Imagine God of Destruction Vegeta and Angel Goku. That would be pretty sick and probably a good conclusion to Dragon ball when it finally ends forever.
Being the greatest warrior in the universe is a vague wish. This might end up like Goku black where someone is going to lose their body, get a duplicate body.
He doesn't care about that really anymore. He's a family man. Earth is his home. He's changed. This undermines allllllllll of that character development.
@@ImTheMan0fSteel not really you realize vegeta still brags about being the prince and how we wants frieza to pay showing he still cares about the sayain race since dbz and throughout super even against goku black he makes regards about the mockery of the sayain race so instead of undermining character development it just explores a more un talked about side of vegeta
Its clear now that Beerus has chosen Vegeta to be his replacement. Goku wouldn't perform his function of destruction because its not in his nature. Vegeta however knows the importance of destruction. The only thing he would have an issue with is he'd be immortal. Meaning he'd have to watch his family die. Unless Bulma can make a tech option for immortality which she could do.
This smells like a future Piccolo powerup. A small reminder from back in the day his father "King Piccolo" used to be referred to "ikkoro Daimaō" also translated as "Great Demon King Piccolo". So it might be possible that the writers are going back to the entire demon idea and stretch the folklore naming of demons to a race outside the current multi-verse realm. The super dragonballs have to come from somewhere so Namekians might be a subspecies or creation of a multiversal entity. Perhaps they are a creation to assist the multiverse in the organization of the universe. So Piccolo might be able to draw some of that power ones he discovers his origin.
Is anyone else surprised that even after all this time since battle of gods even though (we have never seen berrus at full power) that Goku with UI and vegeta with a stronger ssb form possibly a version of ssb evolution in the manga even though not shown. That they still can't hold a candle to berrus or at least fight evenly with him. I expected even if it's training with berrus vegeta would at least be able to dance with berrus In a fight instead of having berrus after all these new powers and training vegeta has gone thru even defeating a weaker tier god of destruction Toppo, that he would be able to hold his own if even for a while like Goku did back in the battle of gods arc. But lol I know dragon ball power scaling makes no sense 😅
Goku can fight Beerus likely to a match in speed in power, but Beerus has over several million years of practicing and honing that speed and power over Goku. So it’d still be ludicrously one sided even now.
@@Kaempfdog l agree with you. But even when you have Goku unlocking UI and whis saying hey I'm going to train you so can reach the level of UI angel level you would think in this chapter when Goku said man lord berrus is still kinda of scary I thought whis would have made a off hand comment to Goku saying "your probably able to beat berrus in a fight compared to how u faced him in your first fight" because we can't have berrus and other gods of destruction panicking when Goku unlocks UI and then not have Goku back up this new power by at least battle berrus to a stand still😅 especially after the whole jiren hype oh he stronger than gods of destruction and then Goku beats him, it kinda of like yeah at this point Goku should have surpassed berrus and even vegeta to an extent if only vegeta would want UI as well 😅
@@Lukie2131 I agree with you about the the lazy writing and how Vegeta should be treated for this arc and going forward, he definitely needs more shine. Lol let's stop letting vegeta get all this training and new techniques juts to then lose at the end and then Goku (yes we love Goku he the main character aka the Goku show) saves the again it gets too repetitive and we like vegeta and vegeta needs more wins under his belt. But I disagree when you say Goku with UI still has less of a chance of beating berrus. Everyone's 100% right We have not seen berrus at full power. But we can't ignore the tournament of power reactions berrus had when he saw jiren incredible strength (whis said this guy stronger than the god of destruction although it wasn't shown, why have whis say that both in manga and anime) and then we have Goku unlocking UI not only did the gods all stand and say whoa a mortal achieved the form that we trained for millenniums and can't even achieve and then, have Goku go and beat up jiren showing us he was the strongest between the two. After all of Goku achievements and training to "master" UI with merus, in my opinion there's no way Goku can't at least fight berrus to a stalemate. I know we can blame the bad writing and the inaccurate dragon ball power scaling system. But how many new forms is Goku and vegeta going to get before they finally surpass berrus.😅 Especially if whis is helping to train Goku UI form up to angel level standards.
Imagine Vegeta being in ssbe and then just says hakaishin and his eyes turn purple and a purplish aura goes around his ssbe aura just like kaioken with Goku
Look closely to the scar on the cheek of that Ozaru ape in Granola's day dream. That very much looks like the one on Bardocks face. Could Granola have a personal grudge against Goku.. If so, I'm looking forward to seeing how that might be revealed.
It hasn’t changed anything yet till we see Vegeta get a couple dubs with this so-called new power then we can hype. Or at least finish the main enemy off but we know that’s not gonna happen
I am not sure if y’all Saw it but one of the Great Apes had a scar on his face that looks just like Bardocks...plot twist imagine that granola remembers the Saiyan that destroyed his home when he sees goku because it WAS Bardock..that would definitely make things more interesting 😏😏😏
The original dragon couldn't even deal with base saiyans and now some random dragon will make a random person the greatest warrior in the universe lmao.
@C Barbosa well that’s not entirely true if you remember vegeta was already training with whis and beerus and goku begged to go along, vegeta does make attempts to surpass goku it just seem as like every other anime goku will be the strongest because he is the main character. Vegeta is definitely a legendary character tho.
I’m very glad he confessed. Vegeta was too caught up in rage and vengeance against Frieza that he forgot that Beerus was the one that wants the fallen Prince’s planet destroyed all along. Destruction is inevitable as Creation. Same goes for Life and Death. Vegeta should actually thank Beerus for that because if it weren’t for him, Vegeta would never meet Goku and actually train even harder to catch up and eventually reach to the level of the Gods. As of now the Universe 7’s balance and survival are far more important than his ego.
@@llgildartsll Vegeta will figure it out. He’ll find out that Beerus thought that the Saiyans were selfish, cruel and murderous weakling all the time but he was wrong. There’s also good in them like Bardock and Broly at that time. And Yamashi, the original Super Saiyan was totally selfless, kind and brave to protect his family and friends from evil. Both Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta had proved countless times that it’s not about what you’re born with but what you grow to be. After Beerus fought and defeated Super Saiyan God Goku, he spared Earth because he found out that the Saiyans aren’t so bad after all.
If Vegeta wants to obtain and Master Ultra Instinct, he needs to let go of his tragic past and heal the turmoil inside of him. Goku had done that several times after he experienced his sheer rage and grief of losing his friends and family. He found inner peace inside himself in the Tournament of Power against Jiren and obtained a complete state of Ultra Instinct. Both Jiren and Vegeta need to learn to put aside their past and heal the scars inside their mind.
“But they may have gone from else where to universe 6 & 7” well you got your reading right dragon ball daima premiered a few days ago and you were right! They come from the demon realm and settled into other universes!👍🏾 randomly found this video and don’t know why I watched it because I haven’t read the mangas not even once but keep up the good work!!
I’ve always wanted to see vegeta to get so emotional he goes into ssj3. He’s stated before that it’s just not logical for the way he fights, but I’d like to see him have a my bulma moment with the same level of impact as Goku’s ssj1 transformation did when krillin died.
@@chriswoodard8497 sorry if my comment was confusing, it’s pretty clear the training they’ve done in super far outweighs anything that was done on the Kai’s planet, he could if he was pushed, as it’s been stated that it’s only possible in out of the ordinary circumstances. Im saying I’d like to see him get pushed to the point emotionally where he becomes ssj3, and temporarily abandons the fighting style he’s used for so long in favor of something more aggressive while he was in that out of the ordinary circumstance.
@@legalminority1091 You misunderstood, Goku said SSJ3 was only possible because he was dead. When he was alive vs Buu he couldn't maintain even use the full power of the transformation due to his ki draining so fast. He stated the same when he used it against Caulifla and Kale. He transformed to show it off, explained why it's shitty and went to SSG. He also stated that unlike SSJ1 and SSJ2, SSJ3 can't be accessed by pure emotions alone since he only unlocked it since he had no physical body.
I've heard this theory way too much and I don't think goku would want this kind of role since he's a warrior\fighter and he would want to be on earth or just training on beerus planet but the main point is he just doesn't want responsibility's, the vegeta part is very believable if he's ok with rarely see his family but that depends whether he takes his job serious or if he's a lazy G.O.D. but thats just my opinion
Vegeta will be a G.O.D. because that's the agreement he made. Goku won't be an angel etc. He will be the strongest mortal. Did he get cured from the heart condition?
Can't wait for the next one please keep doing dbs chapter reviews cause I love it videos and ur one of my favorites on mangas and chapter reviews so please keep doing dbs and mha and black clover please
I honestly believe this chapter was better than those but chapters 66-68 were also good. Super has honestly picked up in quality since the Broly movie imo
Amazing content as always Broski. (Life saver)🙏😆 Keep up the great work! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say your Content is fantastic and greatly entertaining. And makes my long stressful days much easier to handle knowing I have great content to come home to!🔥⛽🔥
5:35 - See, this is the part that I'm kind of on the fence about, because it could very easily be a double-edged sword for Vegeta's character. Vegeta's whole character arc in Dragonball Z was about him going from a bloodthirsty killer to a hero and learning to accept the responsibility for what he had done and accept the fact that there are just going to be people stronger than him. Beerus is effectively starting to push Vegeta in a direction where they undo all of that, basically telling the Saiyan that he isn't responsible for anything. If Super isn't careful with this, it could end up in the same situation as a certain 'other' anime continuation did.
What I think would be a better way to do this arc is to have Vegeta make a counterpoint to that argument by telling Beerus that his guilt and his journey are what made him who he is, and have him actually ACCEPT that aspect of himself. I think the only way that would happen though is if Goku and Vegeta fight each other again (which if nothing else, that's guaranteed). So hopefully that's what the planned endgame is for this. But that should be his character arc.
From beerus reactions of goku using kaioken over his blue at the time it seemed to imply beerus got a bit concerned as if goku may actually have reached a portion of beerus’ strength so achieving UI seemed like goku would be getting close to beerus.... of course they never said explicitly how strong goku was in relation to beerus but as usual, we all should understand by this point that if anything they have been retconning beerus’ strength from behind the scenes, chances are he is much stronger than originally planned so they can keep him as a mentor figure in the story
8:14 - I think the implication here is that there are other universes that we don't know about, universes possibly outside of the jurisdiction of even the Omni Kings. It would make sense for the Dragonball franchise to do this, since there is a perpetual escalation factor to the overall story.
I was the biggest dbz fan, but the rage from a lot of super stopped me from progressing, namely Gohans character (former favourite character) and when they reduced the Super sayain transformation to " that tingling feeling in your back". So I haven't touched it since but... this does seem intriguing.
I really hope he doesn't become a god of destruction. Just learns the power and does whatever he wants with it. Him becoming a god of destruction would be very anticlimactic and predictable
Also I feel like what Beerus is asking completely goes against vegetas character at its core. Prideful family man is his thing. You can't not have my boi care about Saiyan and his family
@@desuordie4856 He is not telling him not to care about Saiyans and his family. He is telling him he shouldn't feel guilty for what they did because that is what's holding him back.
If Vegeta gets a new power/form I hope it doesn't get made absolutely useless in the same arc. He got his spirit fission and them Moro said "that look good, I think I'll take it" and then his shiny new power was now useless. It only became useful when he wasn't fighting Moro and it became vudget spirit bomb.
@@PlotArmor no worries I understand how long it takes to edit videos and all that plus it's not like ur just making dbs videos u guys do black clover and my hero academia reviews and theories so I completely understand that it takes time lol but keep up the great work on all the videos
Master kame destroyed the moon in dragon ball (classic), Picolo Jr. destroyed the moon in Dragon Ball Z while trianing Gohan, Vegeta threatened to destroy the whole Earth. Freeza destroys planet casually, Cell was going to destroy the Earth, kid buu destroyed the earth. Why are Vegeta and Goku amazed that Beerus destreys a planet casually? H*ll, Krillin can destroy a planet.
exactly, these guys were planet busters from nearly the start. yet we're supposed to be in awe of this God of Destruction nonsense. and don't even get me started on how moronic the idea of ultra instinct is.
They aren't amazed at beerus blowing up the planet. They are simply surprised at and taken and startled by Beerus' sudden violence and destructiveness.
I don't think they are amazed at the planet blowing up, I think they are amazed at the technique. The chapter implied that the technique beerus used was hakai, or one of the techniques that he is about to teach vegeta. That is why when vegeta asks "is that the technique you were going to show me?", Beerus replies by telling him it was only a small glimpse of the technique.
@@OnyxXThePunch no it doesn't. a normal human who has any real knowledge of martial arts is already acting on instinct, to think that these people who move faster than the speed of light are actually thinking about every movement they make and not simply acting on pure instinct is mind numbingly silly.
Vegeta said out his mouth : Don't Worry Lord Beerus , it's Okay I'm Not worried About that At All In Vegeta Mind : if you wasn't that strong , I'll fuck you up 🤣🤣🤣🤣
hes probably going to get a non saiyan form because that wouldn't make sense so its most likely gonna be the god of destruction form toppo used in the TOP but at the same time it would be cool if he got a unique form instead of something we have already seen before
It definitely changes everything. Goku is a female now. Vegeta is 6 feet taller. No one shoots energy beams anymore. Sonic now lives on earth. There are 80 universes now. The series is called One Piece. Omg this literally changes everything
Well, unless the Namekian who created those Dragon Balls is stronger than anyone we've seen thus far, Granolah's wish isn't going to come true. In fact, it shouldn't even be granted. The dragon in question should apologize and explain how it's ability to grant a wish cannot exceed the ability of the person who created the Balls. So unless Granolah wishes for some other way to get stronger, he's out of luck. As for the origin of the Namekians as a species, King Piccolo always said he was a demon so, maybe the ancient Namekians fled the Demon Realm when Dabura came to power.
Well, the Namekians have the ability to unlock somebody's latent potential. I don't think it would be hard to ask the Dragon to do for Granolah what Elder Kai did for Gohan.
Exactly like if it’s that easy to become the greatest warrior in the universe you’d think goku and friends would have already done that when literally any strong villain shows up and all the other arcs would have been wrapped up quickly
@@johnnytoledo They never wished for it because 2 reasons. 1: They are too prideful to wish for that. Wishing for power instead got achieving it on their own merits would be shameful for them. 2: Plot. Now considering that a wishing dragon can not kill someone stronger them his creator you can also assume that he can not grant power that goes beyond his creator. If he could do it Namekians from the dragon clan would be the strongest being in creation because they could use their own dragon to wish to become stronger indefinitely.
@@Nyrufa I could see that but the power he could grant would still be limited to the wisher potential. If the wisher does not have the potential to be the strongest in the universe the wish can not be granted.
Remember the fan theories people had of how close to being stronger than Beerus our two favorite saiyans were? Yeah me too. All we know beerus has other forms or even UI.
Vegeta turning to the power of the god of destruction is something I'm not a fan of. Vegeta has always found his own way. It would be the greatest gift to the character of Vegeta for him to develop his own power separate from Goku and any other character. I'm tired of seeing the Vegeta being in the shadow of Goku. In fact, I'm tired of Goku. Goku is too predictable. Goku has never changed his mind about anything. Goku is still very naive. Vegeta on the other hand has made the transition from bad guy to good guy and he doesn't get rewarded at all for that. That is disappointing at the very least.
Goku lives to fight, and has adapted any technique along the way to become a stronger fighter. Vegeta lived to be Prince of all Saiyans and has at every opportunity bent his training to being a stronger Saiyan. With the divergence of Goku going UI and Vegeta instead concentrating on refining Blue even further I thought they were finally really going in on that.
Only in Dragon Ball and Super. Loved the Z Goku which was intelligent and calculating. There was a few times his plans/actions caught Vegeta off guard.
Clearly you're not a dragon ball fan. Vegeta has never found his own way, only until the tournament of power did they explore that. Every single transformation aside from ssj3 came to Goku first and Vegeta just showed up with it. Dunno why you're on some Vegeta high horse lol.
“It was me Vegeta, I gave the order to destroy your planet just because your father didn’t have a good enough pillow for me. And now your entire race suffered the consequences of my pettiness.”
Been saying this for years. Vegeta the new god of destruction and Goku is his angel. Goku changed vegeta from the beginning, beerus had frieza destroy planet vegeta, creating the next god. Beerus’ dream of a saiyan god. There it is.
