When I was roughly a month old, my whole family (including myself) caught a stomach virus. I ended up being briefly hospitalized because of dehydration and needing an IV. During that time, my feet ended up black and blue from bruising due to needle sticks for labs/IVs. Shortly thereafter, someone ended up calling CPS on my parents because of the bruising on my feet (it was summertime and I was basically a newborn, so no need for socks/shoes). My poor parents were 1) sleep deprived from having a newborn, and 2) recovering from their own bouts of a stomach virus…then they had to go through the stress of a CPS investigation (having to provide proof of my hospitalization, home inspections, etc) because they actually did seek timely and appropriate medical care for their child! Then today, there are a-hole family vloggers actually flaunting their child neglect and child abu$e on social media and profiting off of it! 🤬 Seriously, the state of humanity today is shocking and pathetic.

Your baby is sitting in the ER with a broken bone and this idiot still can’t put the phone down and comfort his kid. Who interrogates a child about their injury while they are on the hospital, in pain, and scared. She’s a baby, not content. I broke my collar bone when I was in 7th grade and it was so bad that the bone narrowly missed my lung. I had to wear a sling and this brace under my clothes that had padding and helped hold things stable. If you don’t do what you’re supposed to with a broken clavicle it can heal weird. I don’t understand how people follow this crap. I understand accidents happen, but the two year old shouldn’t have gotten away to even fall on the chairs because he was too busy looking for paperwork. Two yr olds are quick and you can’t turn your back like that. If I were that baby’s nurse in the ER I would’ve found a way to make him get off the phone and pay attention to his kid without shoving a camera in her face. It took 8 wks for my collarbone to mend because it broke and shifted. People need to stop subscribing to this crap, they use their kid’s broken bones for content. Their kids don’t even look at their parent’s faces when they talk to them, they are focused on the camera in their face. I wonder what babies is think, they look at the camera like it’s the mama. They can’t just cuddle and be in the moment with their kids. I would be embarrassed to let everyone know my child got a broken bone because I wasn’t paying attention to them. It’s beyond cringy!

it's not a violation of HIPPA 😂 HIPPA refers to patient/doctor protection of information and medical records. Hospital staff can violate HIPPA. Parents cannot . She's exposing the child's private info, but it's not a HIPPA violation. It would be a HIPPA violation if the *Hospital Staff* posted it or posted about them. Unfortunalty , parents can share whatever they want about the Chile. Maybe there should be a law for children's information protection in this case though .... Not sure that would ever happen. So many people use their medically complex children to farm content. unfortunately a family member of mine does this as well and it's horrifying .
@kmorrison4994

HIPAA violations include a lack of safeguards to protect PHI. It is a HIPAA violation to allow a patient to film in a clinic. And it's illegal to film a confidential conversation without consent from all involved, which you can tell she doesn't have by the way she hides the camera.

This summer we had our first family vacation to Hawaii. Planned and paid for 6months ahead of time. 1 week before Hawaii our youngest hurt her shoulder at water polo practice. After her Dr visit and X-ray we cancelled the trip. We couldn’t imagine her being in pain the entire trip and not partake in any of the activities. Thankfully we had travel insurance and we’re able to get our payment back because for us regular working folk a 7 day vacation is a huge financial cost. We spent summer chilling at home to let our daughter spend the summer healing comfortably at home.

Broken clavicle is extremely painful. My best friends daughter broke it and even pain meds were not working to lift the pain so the kids could feel comfortable. Its important to keep the sling on at all times so the arm doesn't move it and the bone heals up correctly. If it doesn't heal up well she could end up in surgery or have problems later on.

Doesn’t CPS monitor how often a child is seen for injuries- especially serious injuries like this?! I still recall my own family doctor asking my mom to leave the room and asking me about an injury I had (to make sure there wasn’t abuse going on). I hadn’t broken a bone or anything drastic but at least my doctor was concerned and wanted to play it safe.

I used to follow these two families but stopped when they started going on constant vacations and bought very expensive houses all because WE sit home and watch their vlogs. New cars, new houses, trips, toys etc...They are supposedly devout Mormons but never post anything about their religion. I suppose they are worried about losing viewers who dont agree with their religious views.They also have a strict "no kissing " rule. I got tired of watching them live their best life at our viewing expense.

I know I'm late to this, but i thought I'd mention that showing off the mountain view from your kitchen is an excellent way to show people exactly where you live. So first they film their kids private lives encouraging adults to become parasocially attached to your tiny kids, then don't watch them in public to the point they're breaking bones despite people regularly recognizing them in public, then film the location of your home...... it's a recipe for absolute disaster. Either people don't think or they don't care enough about the safety of their kids enough to find a better way to earn a living than putting your kids in danger.

I picked up my first grader from school this morning because he hit his head on a door at school and they thought he needed stitches. The only time we “filmed him” is when he FaceTimed his dad (in the car) at work to tell him he was okay and not to worry. I spent the time at the doctor talking to him, holding his hand when he was crying and telling him to take deep breaths. This filming kids with injuries has got to stop. It’s just basic human decency. I’m just a mediocre mom, nothing special, and I know better. 🤷‍♀️

Also, I dislocated my collar bone, at the base of the throat end when I was 14 and my mum was away for a 3 day work course. It hurt so much but I didn’t want dad to take me to the hospital so I didn’t tell him…by the time mum got home I couldn’t raise my arm at all without silent tears. I had to spend a fortnight in a ‘figure of 8’ bandage to hold everything in place while the tendons or ligaments or whatever healed because when the dr raised my elbows my collar bone went up too, inside my lower neck. It was gross and one of the worst pains I’ve endured and I’ve had to have 3 urgent spinal ops, an emergency abdo op, and five times my brain has swollen inside my skull, which is very painful… But the memory of that collar bone pain for 3 days straight with no painkillers like paracetamol or anything, still stands out as pretty bloody painful. There’s a lot of ‘weight’ and tension on that bone and even the weight of the arm pulling on it is brutal, which is just one of the reasons that kids end up in slings for 2-6wks. It hurts and has to heal in the right place or you can damage nerves and muscles for life, also there’s a big blood vessel runs along each of your collar bones, like ribs, so you have to be careful with breaks as sharp edges can cause bleeding in the area. 🤷‍♀️ Watch your kids, not your camera lens, you utter numpties Beeston fam/crew/mob/gang or whoever you are…watch your kids!!
