Good. Then you’ll definitely enjoy his triple concerto which was part of this concert. Barenboim, Yo-yo ma, and Perlman. It shows Beethoven at full mastery of the genre.

I saw Daniel Easter 1976 Royal Festival Hall with the English chamber Orchestra . Sir Clifford Curzon . Mozart concerto for 2 pianos KV 365 . They even played the third movement as encore , Wonderful .

There are quite a few versions that I like in this Choral Fantasie (eg Agerich/Ozawa, and others). This version is splendid but is a bit strong in tone and borders on sounding Wagnerian. Beethoven hails from the bucolic town of Bonn in southern Germany who cherished revolutionary proletariat ideas and not a royalty kingdom. This playing is tipping on sounding overbearingly strong, like that of a victorious conqueror than a crowning win for the common people.

Me encanta Barenboim en las sonatas, pero esta versión de la fantasía coral es pésima con unos tempos erráticos y como pianista creo que pasaba un mal día. @@juansanchezrovira7816 "errático", toda la vida dirigió así Barenboim, con un sentido "orgánico" de la partitura, atendiendo más a lo armónico que al ritmo o al color orquestal, con eso se permite fraseos flexibles, acelerando o rubateando donde lo crea conveniente. Lo de Abbado/Pollini es mas preciso o rígido, según se lo mire, me gusta un poco más la energía de Barenboim que la precisión no exenta de dramatismo de la versión de Abbado/Pollini, pero en esta partitura la mejor versión es la antigua de Barenboim dirigido por Klemperer.
