This film was probably the beginning of my appreciation to classical music. As many I was put off by the lack of lyrics to guide me through the music, but I now hold to the opinion that anyone that hasn't at least a marginal appreciation for classical music has no real imagination. It is multi-interpretational and provokes a myriad of images to explode in one's head. Lryical music cannot truly conjur joy like a classical piece of music because I am listening to the songwriter's joy...not mine.
"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening."
Oh, bliss. Bliss and heaven. Oh it was gorgeousness and gorgeocity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest spun heaven metal. Or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship. Gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures.

Just watched the movie a few nights ago...Time flies, does it not? Thanks for the rhetoric, Guinnessboys, my ex had the nerve to THROW OUT my book along with many other gems, hence the EX...Nice to hear Ludwig Van again; it amazes me that someone deaf could create something so beautiful!
Pace e amore

Kubrick was not only a great director, he was one of the most influential artists in the 20th century! Space odyssey, a clockwork orange, full metal jacket, the shining, berry lyndon, dr strangelove and the list of classics continue...there are some amazing directors out there all incredible in their own way but you have to agree that his cinematography was simply unmatched!
Turned 11, Snuck into the Coliseum theatre, Seattle... No idea of what I was about to watch, Next evening, 5 of us Then 10..To the point of reciting the dialogue along with the film... There was me that is, Alex, and my three droogs Georgie, Pete & Dim None of us had a clue how accurate it would turn out to be. I mean if I think about it now compared to where we are 2024.. It retrospect it seems like a bit of a elementary School level Preamble... But it was shocking Back in the day
No, it's English, and quite old. It's a thing you wear to cover your balls. They are featured a lot in paintings of English men in the olden days--and of course by Alex and his droogs in this film.
