I played this piece for my Grade 8 exams. I was looking everywhere for your version of this piece, because your interpretations of pieces are so unique. Thank you for years of beautiful music and inspiration. Thank you for also keeping our spirits up. Many youth look up to you to further their studies in music, we appreciate you a lot. Much love from Namibia, Africa ❤️🎶
Ms Lisitsa, I can't tell how much your work matters to me. I have the impression that you have healed me from deafness. The first piece I heard from you was your encore on rachmaninoff's prelude, I had just heard it in my church, played by a talented organist, I did not know what it was and I was desperate ; when I finally discovered your interpretation, I was so happy I played it a dozen times. Then you made me cry with Chopin's études, then it was Beethoven and you amazed me with the passion, the control and the greatness of your sonatas ; then another wonder, then another wonder. And I really felt I grew up listening to you, that my acceptance of the world as it is, ugly and rude, decreased piece after piece. Very few persons gave me as much joy as you did, Ms Lisitsa. God bless you, your hands and your beautiful soul. Thank you, spasiba et merci.
I love your posture while playing , your fingers are stunning I can’t even follow them as you play . You are a miracle to humanity. Have a nice weekend and thank you my dear Lisitsa.
I have been a fan of Valentina's for several years and always thought that she must have unusually large and muscular hands to play the way she does. When I met her at a concert I was surprised that she comes across as just an ordinary housewife. All be it one with a lovely Russian accent. Her hands look like any other women's hands. Soft looking and feminine and ordinary in size. I guess it's all in technique as to why she can do so much with seemingly ordinary hands. My first piano teacher at my first lesson asked to see my hands and compare to hers for size and was delighted that I had large hands as she said that was a prime consideration for a good pianist. I suppose that is one factor but more important is practice and desire. Fortunately for us Valentina is big on discipline and practice and we are blessed with the results. She is not just a gifted musician but also a lovely lady to meet and talk to and very gracious to her fans.
Im studying Sonatas while having no school and teacher. While browsing, I never knew that Beethoven composed this so.. It's to hard to study on your own BTW you're so good at piano I want to be llike u
Great journey to you! You might want to check ceddarvile music channel. Wonderfull passionate and down to earth teacher that gives great advices. Best luck!
I. Allegro molto e con brio in C minor (0:00) II. Adagio molto in A♭ major (4:53) III. Finale: Prestissimo in C minor (11:57) As always you brought Beethoven to life like no other can, brilliant interpretation.
what a beautiful soul she is. im just a poor guitar, banjo, dobro, etc player in the south usa but i play your stuff for my nieces when they stay the night with me. i tell the girls that they can do this too when they grow up, if they work hard. gives the girls something to look up to. Edit: i misspelled many words, i know you and many viewers are from Russia or Ukraine so i didn't want any confusion. don't ever stop making music Valentina!
It's brilliant to not only listen to the impeccable technique and passionate, spectacular playing but also to watch you be so immersed in the music. You are a wonder!
Valentina! The best interpretation of this C minor sonata I’ve heard. It is as if you’re channeling Beethoven. The poignance, graceful ornaments with just the right emphasis, driving force to subtle lyrical interludes. ❤️
Wow ! I listen to you sitting on my piano with the music sheet in front of me. You play it so beautifully ! You make this sonata sound so charming and captivating !
You are so amazing! Thank you so much for playing and interpreting so masterfully! I speak for myself and many other veteran musicians when I say we love you!
Really blows the cobwebs off all those dreary, dry performances we’ve become accustomed to - you can believe that Beethoven was a dynamic, virile, rebellious but also tender human being after listening to this
Hello from georgia!I want to say that you are best Ms valentina! You and your work ables me to listen high class music by the number one pianist!❤And hope to see you in Tbilisi,Georgia!
Вы просто продвигаете классику на новом уровне. желаю Вам всего самого хорошего в этом году и 1 мил. подписчиков. (на выпускном в муз.школе играл Скрябина, хотелось бы и от Вас услышать звуки этого великого человека)
Love everything you do Valentina thank u so much your Go Pro practice performances were so instructive and inspirational would love to see you bring them back
It hurts me when people are criticising Mrs. Lisitsa, she doesn't deserve that! And its too easy to say that you want to play like her. When people comment they should do effort, please! Oh its too fast, oh its too this, etc. How can you dare wasting saying that when you just have to go out of here if it is too much this or that or whatever. Thanks. For my suggestions, i love when you play Scarlatti sonatas, there're magical.
This performance is really something. I can't imagine any better. It makes me think, I must listen to the other utube recordings of this sonata and report back which if any equal this. Or compare favourably.
Dear Ms. Lisitsa, your interpretations of all types of works are always overwhelming: it is a great pleasure to hear you. But I would like to add something as a (so poor) musician myself : I appreciate that you are always filming your hands, whether in wide or close up. In most musical films, the directors also stop on the musician's face, which in my opinion is not very interesting. And one last thing : as I am also a photographer (amateur), it would be an immense honor to be able to photograph you at the piano if you ever go to France or to the north of Spain. Thank you for reading me and I wish you a very happy new year 2020. Marc Viteau.
Of all the miraculous gifts a musician at this level has - her memory is the most astonishing. I used to be able to play guitar pieces from memory, maybe a guitar version of Turkish Rondo - but this is something so far beyond the norm (shakes his head).
