More work needed. Progress as of 13.04.24
Chords sounding flat - need to use my arms more and get more flexibility so I can bring more out of my sound. We have some lectures coming up today with Penelope Roskell on advanced technique - so I will be keeping my ears and eyes open for tips on how I can get more texture, warmth, depth and control into the sound that I am making.
It is interesting to watch myself on video. From the lecture we had yesterday from Richard Michael (Honorary professor at St Andrews University), I could spot immediately that I am sitting too far back on the piano stool. Richard demonstrated to us during his workshop that we need to be perched on the first half of the piano stool (no further back) so that we have full flexibility of movement of our legs and body so that are ours can reach down both ends of the piano with ease.
