Center brake light had stopped working on a new shape beetle. On inspection I found light had been looked at before an the lamp had signs of corrosion.
The lamp is a sealed unit but was able to do a few modifications so I could fit a replacement led strip.
New lamp is between £50 an £80 pounds depending on where you source it.
LED strip was only £2.20 from aliexpress
