It's great Tim Burton got Danny and Michael back. I hope they have a few meaningful scenes together. Something to make up for the time between Batman Returns and this.
Monica Bellucci's character seems to be missing her finger where a wedding ring would be... Beetlejuice had a severed finger in the first film with a wedding ring on it. ("She meant nothing to me...") Ex-Wife out for revenge???
I have to say, Rick, thanks for bringing up your autism. As someone who went to the theater to watch Furiosa and ended up sitting there with my wireless earbuds in noise cancel mode, I get you. Still enjoyed the movie and have to say I probably enjoyed it much more than I would've without them, because man was that movie loud (and good.)
I'm on the autism spectrum, and sound sensitivity is one of my things... for me it's quieter and higher pitched sounds. Awesome for Rick to bring it up
I used to work at a movie eatery, we had special needs days where sound was lowered and lights are on. I always thought that was amazing of the company to consider those with special needs I have never been tested for the spectrum, per say.. got diagnosed with adhd and meds didn't work though. I just started a new job so I can start looking for docs (and also get back on anxiety/major depressive meds) (working in legal field) I would have never guessed rick was, just seems quirky to me and I'm surrounded by quirky people who are socially awkward (self included) Not trying to self diagnose here, just read some stories and thought 'I wonder..' because a lot of women got misdiagnosed with adhd and found as adults they were on the high functioning side. I want to see doctors purely so I know how to treat my mental health a coping skills. In my early 20s I self medicated (I got some personal traumas) but then learn that was a horrible way to do it, and didn't actually cope with trauma, so, when it came time to put skills to the test... things snowballed and all my regrets flooded me (I suspect ocd too, my dad has a mild form of it.. I know intrusive thought happen, but I can't stop thinking about said thought and keeps me awake) Oof not trying to play the well MINES WORSE mentality, because we all have different experiences... just that, I don't have hear sensory, but I know how different senses both others.. I have visual sensory when came upon after my first seizure. I can't even look at police sirens.. some of it is age, some of it is experiences, educating my self (southern Baptist where they preached depression isn't real) and just generally being happy and think before I speak.. Also (youngest sibling and got blamed for everything) I know at my core lying is bad.. I am just a people pleaser, so I had to unlearn that behavior and learn to put myself first. If I can't take care of me, I can't support anyone else. Happy to say we moved from apartments to a house this past April ❤
I actually just saw beetlejuice for the first time a month ago, and i have to say, it is definitely....unique, lol. I kept going "HOW IS THIS PG!?" because of the violent makeup and swearing in the movie, before realizing it was more than likely made before the pg13 rating, so as long as it wasnt hyper violent it probably got a pg rating back in the day
Actually, Betelgeuse (or Beetlejuice) came out in 1988. Four years after PG-13 started. I believe it held a pg rating because it had no direct blood or gore, most of the violence was claymation or cartoony, and while Beetlejuice himself is quite vulgar sometimes, there is little to no cursing from other characters. Also, it was only 4 years after PG-13 was created, so they may have still been feeling out what made a film PG versus what made it PG-13.
Keep in mind this is from the generation were R rated movies were marketed to kids. They had toys for Robocop, Predator, and Nightmare On Elm Street. The 80s' was wild.
Tim is using the Beetlejuice animated series as the backdrop in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.🤙I have always love the Beetlejuice cartoon from day one debut.😍 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is awesome.🤘
@@SkeleTonHammer I am referring to the expansion of the Neitherworld and the folks who "live" in the Land of the Dead.👻 Plus Beetlejuice changing characters and personalities is straight from the cartoon, Beetlejuice being a marriage counselor.🥼
I doubt it's gonna happen but I REALLY hope there's a reference to the musical in this. I'm extremely biased about this as it's my favorite musical + favorite version of the story/characters lol, but also idk I think it'd be just be a cool iykyk kinda thing. Especially since it's been doing a great job at keeping Beetlejuice in the public consciousness for the last few years
YES!!!!!! IT'S SO GOOD!!!!!! SAW IT LIVE WITH MY BRO CHARLIE IN APRIL AND IT WAS SO SO SO SO PHENOMENAL!!!!!! I SERIOUSLY HOPE THEY REFERENCE IT TOO!!!!
FINALLY!!!!! BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION!!!!! ALSO YES DO A REACTION TO THE FIRST ONE WITH CALVIN MY DUDE NEEDS TO SEE IT 😂😂!!!! It's my favorite Tim Burton movie!!!
I can’t wait ❤❤ I do hope BJ has a much bigger role this time though , that was the thing I hated most about the 1st movie , had his name yet he only got maybe 20 minutes of screen time So hopefully he’s in this one way more :) I also love the play on the title of the movie , don’t say his name three time , movie one says it once , movie two saids it twice , so maybe we can get beetlejuice three depending on how this one goes 😂
YES!!!!!!!!! I personally love the original Beetlejuice and the musical is phenomenal!!!! Saw it live almost a couple months ago and it was incredible!!!!!
Nah. Jeffrey Jones is still alive. He was sentenced to five years probation and was required to register annually as a *sex offender, and I'm guessing WB wants none of that heat.* .....he's dead to *me.*
Guys, please react to Stens Gate 0. I watched your reactions to Stens Gate (1st season) and was shocked about you didn't do the 2nd one. Big reminder: check a Kyoukaimenjou no Missing Link - Divide by Zero before watching season 2 so you don't get lost.
Jeffrey Jones did bad stuff to children in real life that's y he's not in this movie for, if u read his wiki it tells u wat he did at the very bottom of the page
I *never* want an actual crossover, cause I know Hollywood would muck it up, but... kinda want an Addams Family easter egg tucked in, similar to the Alien skull in Predator 2.
I think it looks fine visually as is, but I'd guess they'll probably dirty it up a bit with some filters before release. Those final passes are the last things that get added.
Since Calvin hasn't seen Beetlejuice in its entirety & its been a minute since you guys have seen it, I would love a reaction!!!! It would make my millennium 😏
I had that Beetlejuice toy I also had the one where you pressed a button on his chest or back and it would open up an flip then shrunken head from the normal sized head 🤣 think movie is getting me so hype in the nostalgia feels 🎉🎊😁
If Rick has not tried Loop earplugs he should give them a look, they’re way more comfortable than foam or wax ones and have different levels of blocking. Silicone too so they’re easy to sanitize and reusable
I love that the resummoning of Beetlejuice appears to be ENTIRELY because Lydia's kid is just being a lil' shit. That's so hilariously realistic. Also Eric's got a really good impression of him, what the hell.
@@SkeleTonHammer I don't think there's anything wrong with having callbacks. And if they just edited the trailer to cut a bunch of callbacks together, that could easily mean most of the movie itself isn't callbacks, they just didn't want to spoil too much of the new stuff in the trailer.
