Got to see the original in theatres about 3-4 years ago as a special showing but watched it immensely in 80s vhs/tv. Watched the cartoon when it aired which this looks a lot like. Feels like a Tim Burton sequel already with music and effects. Took 36 years but its Showtime!

Michael Keaton said he would come back to the role, as long as there was no CGI, just stop motion puppets and prosthetic makeup effects.

I can't wait. It reminds me of the cartoon where Lydia and Beetlejuice go to Neitherworld and have an adventure together. This is going to be so much fun.

I agree with you about Member Berries, but I'll wait for the final movie to judge as the American Movie Trailer Industry is currently built entirely around creating and distilling Member Berries. Not advertising movies as they actually are. See the massive gulf in difference between the US and International trailers for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, for example.

I used to work for AMC Theatres for 7 yrs. from 1990-1997. I can tell when a trailer from a movie is going to to be a hit or a flop. This movie will be a sleeper hit for the fall. Sometimes characters of a sequel can be the same or a little mellow like Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice. It's a home run out the park....

Can't wait to this movie comes out on September 6! Liked the shrunken head version of beetlejuice reappearing! Also love that they bringing back the sandworms!

Practical effects are definitely the correct flavor for this movie, can't wait to see this 😊

They are gonna make Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. You heard it here first.

It's not just stop motion and nobody ever said there would be little to no CG. What they said was they are using many of the same techniques from the original. They did not say they would limit themselves to those or even use them in place of VFX whenever possible. There is a ton of VFX here. I like it. It looks good. But you should know that most of what you think is an on set practical effect is actually VFX in general. Especially if a studio tells you something is "practical" and uses "no CGI" Also, just FYI; special and practical effects are the same thing. Special effects are created on set and shot in camera. Visual effects are added in post. Pyro, fog machines, lighting effects, glass shattering, etc. are special effects. CGI, optical effects, set extensions, digital doubles, etc. are visual effects In any event, I think this is going to be good and I cannot wait to see it

If you remember in the first movie Beetlejuice had the ring and the finger of his ex wife if you zoom in on Monica belluci's character she's missing her ring finger

Geena Davis would not come back on board without Baldwin after the incident and because she didn't feel alright doing the movie without Alec. She does not support his doings but she would have loved to join the OG cast again, had it not conflicted with her personal life.

yaah im just not feeling it. waited too long to make this film and just hard to see OLD Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice. Also im not a fan of the look of these films being shot in these 4k ultra HD cameras it just doesnt have that 80s feel and look to it.

It looks like something that will very predictably suck and will only fool people with nostalgia porn.

Honestly this movie looks shit. And I’m so disappointed because I love the original.

Hope to be wrong, but this just smacks of being yet another highly wanted sequel that came out way too late and will suck. Keaton clearly doesn't have the same Beetlejuice flair from the first film (as if he's just playing himself but with the Beetlejuice makeup on), and Hollywood needs to learn that Jenna Ortega doesn't need to be in every movie.
