if any one hasnt and you some how havent seen the bootlegs floating around 'Creepy Old Guy' is Lydia's plan to bring BJ back to life and then kill him again to send him to the netherworld. but since like she just jumped in hell to get way from him the song is her and the rest trying to convince BJ its not a trick. and yeah out of context it sounds bad. also Home is sung after Lydia runs off in the void of the netherworld to find her mother only to find nothingness like the other dead where trying to tell her
Also worth noting, when BJ brings up the plan to marry Lydia to come alive again, EVERYONE, including even his clones, are disgusted by it. He then repeatedly tries to lampshade it by explaining "Its like a green card thing, okay?"
@@PerryPresents Some context of what happened between 'Barbara 2.0' and 'What I Know Now', Lydia hears about the Neitherworld from Betelgeuse and gets her hands on "The Handbook For the Recently Deceased" (the book you get when you die) and goes to get help from Barbara and Adam to open it. In short, once they open and close a door to the Neitherworld The Maitlands learn that Lydia wants to go there and find her Mom, they won't allow that. Timeskip of idk how long, and Lydia _accidentally_ performs an exorcism (death for the dead) on Barbara. Though Lydia thought it would re-open the Neitherworld Door. Betelgeuse shows up and basically says "hey awesome seance Lyds, but if you wanna save your ghost friend you gotta marry me" Lydia (albeit _very_ reluctantly) agrees to marry him, so he opens a portal to the Neitherworld and Lydia basically says "ha, tricked ya, ima go find my Mom, peace!" and goes through the portal, followed by her father. Cue 'What I Know Now'.

I liked the video! New subscriber! Here is the story if you didn't get it from the soundtrack bc I know I didn't. It starts off with invisible: prologue. She's at her mom's funeral. She says " And everyone goes away." Implying that the people at the funeral are leaving with no impact. She is the only one that is crushed by her mother's death :(. The whole being dead thing: He's just trying to get you ready for the show about death. Ready set not yet: In DC they said they had a miscarriage. But that got cut out. They're saying that they're thinking of having a baby but they're scared because of the miscarriage. On the last part they fell in the floor. The whole being dead thing pt. 2: Trying to get them to understand that they're dead and why they're lucky that they died together. Dead mom: She's talking to her mom about her dad neglecting her and trying to get her happy when all she wants is her mom. Fright of their lives: Beetlejuice is trying to get them to start to scare the people in their house. Ready set reprise: Adam and Barbara put on sheets and go downstairs to try to scare people. (Which failed and Lydia wasn't scared.) No reason: Delia trying to get Lydia to realise that everything has a bright side. Of course Lydia found a way to fight back. In DC Lydia won betwine Delia but they cut that out too. Invisible (On the roof): Beetlejuice being emotional over nobody seeing him. Then Lydia tries to kill herself by jumping off. Beetlejuice saves her. Say My name: Beetlejuice trying to get Lydia to say his name and Beetlejuice possessing Adam and Barbara. Day-o: Adam and Barbara possessing Delia and the group except Lydia. Then a pig. Lydia says Beetlejuices name. Girl scout: Lydia scaring this inoccent little girl who has dreamed of being a girl scout. That beautiful sound: More scaring. Barbara 2.0.: Realising Lydia is the daughter they never had. Fun fact!!! They cut out a song called the children we never had. Search it up. Though you may cry. No, you will cry. What I know now: Miss. Argentina singing about death (Surprising? Nope. It's a musical about death.) Home: Lydia went to the underworld to find her mom. Sadly she didn't find her. In the show she runs around the place SCREAMING "Mom? Mom?! MOMMMMM!!!" A grunt to it. I cried. Creepy old guy: Lydias plan to marry Beetlejuice to come to life. Then she kills him. First of all say my name was ontop of a roof because Lydia was suicidal and when beetlejuice came to her she was about to jump. When they were singing creepy old guy Lydia was tricking him because beetlejuice needed to marry to become mortal and Lydia murdered beetlejuice and sent him to the netherworld right after marrying him.

Did you get that shirt off redbubble? I just ordered a few shirts. Ones that say "I myself am strange and unusual" and "Chaos is what killed the dinosaurs, darling". You know which one comes from this musical. I like ones that work out of context. I even got a work slogan shirt that says "You can't scare me, I'm a proofreader" after I proofread an article for my sister. She got it for me instead of the discounted price I gave her.

@@sapphicsapphire82 It's likely that originated from the quote I cited. It's from the movie of Heathers and I think that quote inspired the lines about the dinosaurs. I used to have another T-shirt that said "Our love is God. Let's go get a slushie", which of course named the same song.
