It's called a creosote bush. And the neighbor was "offended" because the creosote is a habitat for quail and other desert wildlife. The desert ecosystem is hardy and fragile at the same time. Locals support native plants to remain intact.

As always, great content. Following you folks CLOSELY, as we're about to dive into the STR market! Question for you though; I noticed the ring camera (flood light 19:12) on the back porch. I know AirBnB is cool with video surveillance on the front of the house as long as it doesn't have "inside residence" POV, but, just to confirm, there's no issues (privacy wise) with one on the back deck, taking into consideration your set up of an out door lounging area / HotTub / Pool? Thanks, and again, pretty stoked to see how quickly you folks have become successful in this market.

I love every video you post! So real and full of real advice! Quick question: Is Joshua Tree oversaturated? I'm in SoCal (near Thousand Oaks) and contemplating buying a STR there in the next 2-3 months, but I see 4+ pages of Superhosts in Airbnb search results. How can I compete with that?!

Hi ! Love the vid. What do you call the " framing"(?) on the wall ( 9:30 )? Are the kitchen shelves referred to as "Floating"? We have 2 studios under 350 sq. ft. I'm looking to an alternative to cabinets. Also, we do traditional renting April to Nov then nightly for ski season. How far out should we list on VRBO/Airbnb? thnx!

How does the pool work? Is there a drain at the bottom and guests fill/drain it themselves? It barely looks large enough for 1 person or is it only for kids.
