The new infinite buffs definitely is the best change

This has gotta be one of the most high effort quality of life updates in gaming history I swear

Dude, why is nobody talking about the lunar portal staff, that weapon went from useless to like a beast

muramasa has a new sprite a new post-moonlord liquid called shimmer has been added (10 luminite bars + bottomless water bucket = bottomless shimmer bucket) if you throw an angel statue in it, you get an aether monolith, which is like the celestial monoliths except it makes the background sorta like space but with different stars if you throw anything with a crafting tree in shimmer (ex. the GPS) it will give you all the items used to make it if you throw a life crystal, life fruit, or mana star in it, you get new permanent upgrades stinkbugs are in the game, but idk their spawn conditions (dear god we truly cant escape them) new paintings that can be found in underground houses with gold chests mushroom torches are now a thing (1 glowing mushroom + 3 torches = 3 mushroom torches) if you hit 'quickstack to nearby chests' a cool animation will play where the items in question will float and go into their chests theres 10 new achievements, most of them are for accomplishing big goals like purifying the entire world or crafting the ankh shield

In my opinion the new item stacking to 9999 instead of 999 is life changing. Since I mostly play ranged and mage I don't have to have my inventory constantly full of mana pots and ammo

The banner and heart lantern hanging From platforms is my favorite Change but all of the other new changes are pretty cool too

I'm in love with what they did to the swords... just no words to describe how amazing they are

the terra blade looks beautiful, i was shocked when i went in game and checked it out

theres the new shimmering liquid that is crafted with a bottomless water bucket and luminite at the ancient manipulator

The angel statue is now a secret crafting material. You can drop it into the Shimmer Liquid and it will be upgraded into a new item.

They added a new painting called 'Terra Blade Chronicles', a reference to Xenoblade Chronicles' title screen. The painting features the Terra Blade placed in the same position as the Monado is in the title screen of Xenoblade. What's more is that the Terra Blade's new projectile looks the exact same as one of the Monado's projectile abilities, 'Monado Purge', does.

This update might actually make me main a melee build for the first time ever.

Fun fact: the ability to equip things in vanity slots was actually removed in the first instalment of 1.4 Terraria. I'm so glad they're adding it back.

They took out accesories in vanity slots to show us about what power they had over us, but I'm glad they were merciful and brought them back. Love to Relogic ❤️

It's kinda funny that they removed the "put all the accessories in vanity slots" feature in previous updates only to bring it back in this one

You can throw angel statue into shimmer (New liquid) to make ancient monolith

I love all of the quality of life changes like the ropes behind platforms, or the banners on them, its so nice

The changes that they made to the angel statue were absolutely insane. Honestly can’t believe they thought that would be balanced. This probably allows so many new cheeses to be possible.

And for all my summoners, you can now get a "1 more sentry" accessory in pre-hardmode from the Dark Mage!

In case anyone looking through the comments is wondering, the True Night's Edge does still shoot a projectile, I don't know why he didn't show it in the video

That angel statue effect tho, hype!!!!! But for real, this sorta update really show how much the devs care about the game and their community. They've been steadily refining the gaming experience for over a decade at this point and they don't charge a penny for any of the updates. All these tiny details that only long-time players will even notice, they're so tiny yet so amazing at the same time. It's crazy how good Relogic is to us, they listen and respect us and it shows in the work they put into Terraria. If only AAA developers were like this. Ok enough gushing, time to play this update ;)

that buff station improvement is so little but does so much! Love it!

The nights edge has also been changed now, and looks badass, especially with feral claws

The most important change will be discovered when people try to get the terraprisma and will find out their dodge items and armor don't work anymore

Also Night's edge has now a much better range of attack

I just finished terraria again after years of not playing it, and it felt so smooth and polished compared to when i last played it but i couldnt really place why. After this video i finally realize why it felt so much better, for example the drill containment unit being much quicker and the new weapon animations (they looks so good! 0.0 )

I love modded Terraria so much, but man, vanilla Terraria is such a treat to play.

the only thing thats missing is not having to respawn all your minions after u die

that vanity slot fix allows you to have 2 loadouts which is really useful if you wanna grind bosses like the moon lord or eol endgame an example would be using the nebular attacks to get the hp regen then switching.

the lantern / banner being hung on platforms is such a life saver. I think all my deaths to skeletron were because I bumped into the block hanging the heart lantern and lost all my speed

Ah yes, vanity accessories. I like how they decided to re-implement this feature after all.

The excalibur was also updated as well and it is the same as the true excalibur just without the out pink part of the slash

DCU can now also mine back walls if you right click

Out of all my games on steam terraria has the most hours cuz I’ve been playing since 2015. And I usually do an annual play through of the game, but I haven’t in the last year and I have to say this update has made me comeback and I’m having a blast

So, Day EoL bypasses shadow dodge from Hollowed Armor and Master Ninja Gear But at least, the Morning Star is now almost as fast as the Kscope and gives more Crit chance than it

They should add ancient variants of the swords, that use the old sprites and behave like before the update. Maybe the miscilania mod will do it

Void Bag now has more interaction with backpack: You can use potions and foods with hotkey from it You can craft items from it You can put favorite items in it You can quick loot and stack items with it You can unlock chests with keys inside of it Still waiting for True Terra Blade.

The night's edge carried me to plantera somehow. As I almost never make this weapon, I think that it is VERY op. Although I kinda miss the old night's edge, it's still very good at crowd control and bosses imo

I stopped playing Terraria few years ago... but when I see this changes, it makes me want to return playing it

When the angel statue is activated with a pressure plate, it will destroy the pressure plate according to the changelog

if you through the angel statue into the new liquid you get an aether monolith like the lunar monoliths (you can also equip them now)

5:18 you could actually place banners and lamps on a platform before, but you had to invert it by hitting it with a hammer, the catch tho is that items that can normally be placed on blocks can't be placed on those hammered platforms. EDIT : forget the lamp part, but you could hang the banners.

I wish we could do more with the fragments cuz love them so much and think they could bring much more to the game

because of the changes to melee in general, the terra blade actually benefits very strongly from melee speed

6:57 All accessories can be in the vanity slot in 1.4.3. You just have to put a accesorie available in the vanity slot, the other on the active slot and if you switch the item of the vanity slot with the item in the active slot, the accesorie go on the vanity slot. I always do that since I play Terraria.

The dark mage was changed so that he drops sentry accessories like the squire’s shield and monk’s belt. Originally, it was the Ogre that dropped these, but now, you can get them much earlier.

gud i'm so glad they reverted the accessory can't be placed in vanity, it did make Vanity more useful for its indented purpose, but i hated having to carry nesh accessories in my inventory now i can finally switch between dmg and max number of minions when i'm playing summoner

What is using the angel statue provides a temporary spawnpoint while powered? I feel like that would be a decent use for it

Loved the angle statute at the end, I always loved how the NPCs talk about it and it doesn’t do anything so ya got me there 😂

If the angel statue were to have a purpose, it would be cool if when triggered with wires, it produces a small aoe aura that buffs wing time by 10% for 15 seconds

to find the use of the angel statue you must find where it is wettest and saltiest at the same time, then dig until you find where you meet the stars, there you shall find the use of the angel statue

Considering the glow I'm guessing they made the fists unstoppable, so they made it fair for close ranged fighters to dodge it.

Man I actually liked the 60 swconds before moonlord. Just gave you a bit of prep time for the ultimate fight

Melee got some much needed love nice, it kinda sucked that melee was suffering before until you got projectile blades lol

in 6:40 before 1.4 every accessory can be equipped on the vanity slot they only reverted the feature back to 1.4.4

The old Terra blade was always so nostalgic for me because it was the first good weapon I got a long time ago around the same time it was introduced

I dont see many people talking about the new flamethrower and elf melter buffs/changes, those things are freaking power houses now as they are able to hit really fast, i was melting so many things with it. I highly recommend people use them

TBH 9999 item stack is an overkill
