Just a little curious . . .wonder how many of us teared up watching this. Its incredibly hard 2 leave a home with so many wonderful memories. Whoever purchases this house will be walking into a gem straight from the start. Also wanted 2 say 'thank you' to Linda for your honesty, transparency, and your kind generous spirit. Your channel is a breath of fresh air. I noticed that immediately over a year ago. So much looking forward to new content and your new home.
Now you just made me tear up! LOL I have felt a little sad here and there when I think of certain things and memories, but I truly felt an amazing draw and connection to our new home and know it will be just as special once Ben and I put our personal touches in and around the home.
Just a personal answer to your question about how hard it is to leave one home (that heart & soul went into decorating it.) for another. For me and I’m sure for Linda too, it isn’t so conflicting, rather it’s exciting to be getting on with a new project. An Adventure!

The summer tour of the home and gardens was delightful! i am going to miss this New England home but you have made such a big mark on it, bringing it current with such room changes and updates that I understand your need to move on. Please take the mantle of your childhood home. You can always use it as a faux fireplace in a kitchen or bedroom or in an outbuilding in a she shed. Have another mantle replicated to match or designed like this one for the new buyer. Looking forward to seeing you work on each new room of your new old home. Best to you always on your upcoming move. It is very stressful to sell and purchase and move, so some fun R & R time travel is definately in order.

Thank for your prayers 🙏 I too was so busy with life I couldn't see what was in front of me. When my daughter passed away I saw everything differently. I was amazed of all the beauty in front of me. I slowed down and saw the beautiful mountains, trees, our land. Listening to the birds chirping. Every little creature everything God created. . God is amazing I hear him when he talks to me when I am still. He's teaching me to be humble, kind , patience, love, forgiveness, humility, mercy for others. The cobblestones are still on several streets in downtown Boston. That snowstorm was May 16th, we got 8” of snow…just crazy. What a beautiful home. I can only dream of owning something so grand. 💞

Great tour, it's a farewell ... Tip for your shower door cleaner: add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to your recipe. Vinegar smell no more as the oil neutralizes the odor without affecting the cleaning power.

It really did spark creativity in me again, and hope for future ideas and plans, when I can make the time. That’s what I need right now, TIME, and I know how busy you must be in this season of your life. You have so much to look forward to, and limitless possibilities at your new place. It’s so very hard to say goodbye, to your present home (I know!), but, you’re buying your forever home, and there is no rush to get everything done. When I sold my home I had to do repairs and stage it for sale. It was so hard for me to move. I liked my home after I got it livable again. Your home is my dream home, it's beautiful.

Oh, Linda, I love the home you live in now. So, I cannot imagine how lovely the next one will be when you get finished with it. I am redoing our living room and I am so glad that I have been watching you because I a going to hire a designer. She will be able to help me pick out fabrics, help with with a bookcase on either side of our fireplace and, hopefully, less furniture and new rugs and drapes. The wall goes from normal height to a high ceiling, so I know I need help with a carpenter. You have inspired me and I wish you lived where I do. I would be so happy to hire you as a designer! This tour absolutely confirmed to me Linda that you and I have similar taste. I LOVE what you have done to this house while you have been here. I readily admit I no longer possess the skill level you have attained. My hands no longer can caulk (much needed in my townhouse). I consider it an art and something one learns with practice. In every other aspect as well you have made this home BEAUTIFUL. I know you will do the same in your forever home.
