As a Baltic who grew up a decade in the US from 9 and now living in the UK; I had perspectives of major sides. The main thing I came away with and now happily embrace; embrace your teeth. A crooked tooth does not break your smile. A slight tint to your teeth does not make you less pretty. Above all, from all worlds, take care of your teeth and keep your teeth as long as possible .

Thank you for your help in letting people know about this issue. Too many times I’ve seen patients want veneers and they just need orthodontics ,beautiful teeth color shape can’t be taken for granted saving tooth structure til later in life is So important. It’s called Banking for the future

Thank you for sharing I’m a dental prosthetist and I can’t tell you how many cases a week I get like this failed bridges and then I have to make them dentures. It’s so disheartening. Social media is making me a lot of money by influencing people to get veneers but I’d rather talk the patient out of getting veneers done because I know they’ll end up being my patient much sooner than expected. Also implants is another issue don’t get me started 🙄😔🤦🏼‍♀️

i hate people who get veneers when they have good teeth. I have veneer because of a bad orthodentist (got my parent scammed when i have 11 years old, so all my front teeth are damaged)

Hey Bentist! I wondering if you could do a video on mouth guards! I’m on medicade and they won’t cover one through my dentist so I’m looking through other options. Maybe you would have some recommendations on sleep guards or maybe some tips for teeth grinding! Lovely video as always❤

Can I ask my dentist to make the next retainer thicker? The one I am currently using is 1 year old and already presenting signs of cracking. I clench my jaw at night and i have noticed that the upper retainer has usually a shorter lifespan compared to the lower one.

My upper front 6 teeth had to be redone like that due to medical reasons. The work was done by a master of his work and for quite a few years they do an incredibly well job. Here is the isdue: i am a *VERY* fearful patient and that dentist retired 2 years ago. The teeth still hold up like a fortress but i am to fearful to visit a different dentists place. The answer is obvious but can someone help me with chosing the right dentist to overcome my fears? Please, any advice is highly appreciated. Greetings from germany.

There are special dentist offices for people with anxiety or general fear of dentists. Maybe you could search for one of those.

So are crowns better than veneers? My dentist said I should get six bottom front tooth crowns or veneers because I have receiving gumline and a prior dentist had like shaved my front teeth to be so skinny for some reason.

I have mandibular teeth crowding , doctor said we will pull your incisor and make them look straight ,i was concerned of midline of teeth ,they said lower midline is not our concern ,but i was concerned and thought of having veneers ,but now i dont want to ,so what to do for the midline thing ,any answers ,😢

I drink a lot of coffee and smoke mmm the devils lettuce… I got laminate veneers. They look so natural and they just cover the front. It’s good enough. I can smile and my teeth are perfect. You don’t need crowns

Hey, bentist! Can I ask a question? I’m 17. I have no current cavities, but several spots between many of my back teeth that want to. I need my wisdom teeth removed, though. But I was thinking that wisdom teeth have fresh, new enamel, and do you think it would be possible to pull different teeth that are worse off, and let the wisdom teeth grow in? Have you heard of anybody removing teeth to let the wisdom teeth grow in before? I want to preserve my teeth as much as possible

Having crowns at 18 on all your teeth must be bc he never looked after his teeth in the first place. Dentures at 18 is horrendous for the rest of your life!

Veneers have their own downside, but proper veneer preps are far more conservative than the crown preps in this video.

@Tappy_Cat ... so there's enough underlying tooth that if you get secondary caries or an open margin another restoration is possible. Unlike the scenario he goes on to describe where dentures are the only available treatment plan. Okay.
