Before a fireworks device at Stadium of Fire went off course and injured six people, the setup for the program had been inspected repeatedly and was determined to be safe.
"Myself and my staff have been in the fireworks field at the stadium all week, since they started laying out fireworks," said Provo fire marshal Lynn Schofield, adding "every device" was inspected before the program.
"And what did your inspection show?" 2News asked.
"It was a show that was set up to the national standards," he replied. "It was put in, in a safe manner, what we would expect on any other given show."
