Before you buy: Mazda RX-7 FB Savanna 

I've owned six of these cars. The importance of inspecting for rust cannot be over-stated. Some of that rust hides very well. Pay particular attention to the rear wheel wells - especially the forward inboard areas that are just outside of where the storage bins reside behind the rear seats. Pull out the rear storage bins (or the rear seat if your car is so equipped) and inspect all of the metal, especially the areas just ahead of the rear wheel wells. These areas rust out badly enough to allow water and road salt to enter. This in turn makes the problem worse, and it's a very labor-intensive area to perform rust repairs. Worse yet, on the left-hand side of the car (on left-hand-drive cars. It *may* be on the right-hand side on right-hand drive cars, not certain) there is a large connector plug in the main wiring harness that resides on the floor of the storage bin area. When water enters this area through the rust holes it saturates this connector. One of the components serviced by this connector is the ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. Ask me how I found this out....
