@@StefanShift Well yes and the 50cc is faster than a bicycle. I'm just sayin', you're spending a lot of money for not a lot of bike... You'll outgrow it quick. As you said, just my opinion though.
@@rokml2000 that's entirely true, but as long as i live in Europe, i can't change thr law and restrictions on the power capacity per licence, so i guess it's gonna be another couple of years before i can get on a "real bike".
It’s a fantastic bike I have owned the following Honda cbr 125 2008 Honda cbr 125 2009 Honda pcx 125 2012 Yamaha yzf 125 2014 Honda cbr 125 2016 Suzuki gsxr 125 2018 Current bike Yamaha yzf 125 2019 All these above I’ve had since brand new and I can tell you the new yzf 125 2019 model is obsolete it’s rapid , top end decent , reliable and can take a lot of abuse im 30yrs old and been riding 12 years and this bike puts a good smile on my face !!! It’s a feel good bike and very agile and whipable and forgiving easy to get low down and the wider back tyre on this model compared to previous models is very very noticeable and confidence inspiring !!! Get one get one get one haha 😂 Seriously for a 125 it’s unmatched in every way possible and price is reasonable for a Japanese bike so 👍👍👍 Have a cool 😎 day peps ride safe
Oh yeah Nath, my Mrs said I've to stop watching you ffs, since you definitely influenced my new 2 motorcycle policy at mine & bought a 2018 YZF-R125 to keep my MT-125 company! 😂400 miles I've done on the YZF-R125...Since Thursday & never even sat on a Super Sports model until then & just loving it! 👍😎
I got a 2021 MT 125, and it is the same as the YZF-R 125. it is quick for a 125cc :D The YZF is a little quicker because of the windscreen and aerodynamics. :)
If you get the chance ,, try a 16t front sprocket ,, (you will loose 81 and stop at 73,, BUT you were talking about big-bike feel .... That's what the 16 made me say about my V3 YZF
I just brought a 21 plate in white beautiful bike but don’t get white with the yellow wheels they get so dirty you have to clean it every week, also I had the 2012 r125 also a lovely bike
Iv got a nsr125 as my weekend bike but was looking at one of these s a daily rider they do seem the best one out of the four strokes keep up the good work buddy 😎👍🏻
Is this bike good for riding through places like town and mainly short distances as I’ve heard the seating position isn’t great. I’m 5ft 10 but just want your opinion
Just founded one in sell. My questions as a guy that never had a byke ..is it automatic speed changing? Is it heavy and big compared to others? My brother bought a byke some time ago,its huge,he never drived it🤣😅
how much did you pay to insure your yahmaha yzf125r for the first time? Ive been quoted from around £3000-3500+ which i think is absolutely ridiculous.
If you find some videos on RU-vid (there’s loads) of just how to ride a geared bike you’ll get the feel for it because to the best of my knowledge the gear lever at your left foot and clutch on your left handlebar is pretty universal across geared bikes
Hi mateim 28 and im gonna start doing my cbt soon I'm thinking of getting a ktm rc 125 for my first bike I've never riden a bike is it hard or will I find it hard to do gears and clutch or not or is it easy thanks
I'm 15 and I got my moped like 3 months ago I had it tuned once but I dropped it because I wanted to drive legally so I'm saving up till I'm 17 and then going to buy this bike for sure
Just got a 2022 mt 125 and in my opinion there not worth the 5 grand price you could get your full test and decent 600 with insurance for the year at that price. Wish id of just waited lol had the bike 2 months and its already up for sale 😂
@@Mt24855 That's inflation and development costs. Back in mah day, all we 'ad were a plank o' wood an' two pram wheels... No, when I started two strokes had just been killed off and the big boys toys all made the switch to fuel injection. But carbs and simplicity were still the order of the day for the learner capacity. Now safety and emissions have forced everyone to more complex fuel injection and must include ABS, which is all added cost along with the pound being valued a whole lot lower than back then. Is the Yamaha worth more than some of the competition? Dunno, the smallest bike I've ridden in the last 15 years was a KTM 390 courtesy bike while my RC8R was in for some work.
Im 5.4 at the moment and im 15 years old. Im gonna do my A1 when i turn 16 and expect to grow a little. Is being 5.4 or 5.5 too short for this bike? I LOVE IT TOO MUCH
Hi I was thinking either this bike or the Honda cb125r. Back story I want the fastest 125cc and the most reliable bike u described what I wanted but is it reliable or should I go wiv the Honda ?
Have you been up against the aprillia 125. Also my brother has a 2019 yzf-r and he cant shake my 2004 cbr 125r from behind him.and im quicker of the lights.dont get me wrong i would prefer a yzfr to my cbr, just looks so much bigger and better
I’m currently split between an Aprillia RS125 or a Yamaha RZF 125 but it seems like the Yamaha’s are way easier to find on eBay etc, and the majority of RS125s on eBay are the 2 strokes which sounds fun but I’ve learnt with 2 strokes you need deep pockets to keep them maintained and running. I got a mate who had to do a full bottom end rebuild on his bike because it blew up (a 2 stroke)
08 and maybe 09 have a faulty fuel pump from the factory which you might need to replace but it isnt that expensive or hard. Also be aware of the mileage cuz these bikes like to start eat oil after some time. but as long as it's been taken a care of the age itself doesnt matter
I am still not sure if i will buy the yzf or the mt.. i like speed (when its safe) but i also want to go on trips and riding for multiple hours at a time.. I like the looks of the YZF way more than the MT but i don't want to be dead AF when i am riding for a long time.. any suggestions on which one i should choose?
The same dilemma here mate, I'm still 16 rn and I ride a 50cc supermoto, but I'm really looking into the MT and YZF, i feel like they're both great bikes, but it'll all come down to preference at the end!
@@NathRides i might even go for an older model which year would u recomend P.S love ur vids like looking forward to next meetup vid quite a crew on ur last one 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍
@@NathRides ah sorry lol! I did think that was a bit strange lol! I love the r125 though. I had a 2009 model a few years back and loved it. You ride it 100% everywhere lol!
@@NathRides wronggg. at 16 i had a yamasaki ym50 that cost £950 and insurance was like £350 when i turned 17 i was looking at getting a suzuki drz125 which was like £2500 for a 2009 one and like £900 insurance... i got a car and insurance for less than that
Hey bro im planning on buying an R125 (im 18 and currently taking the A2 MC driver license) but im 163 cm (5ft 3 inches). Am i tall enough to drive this mechanized beast?
@@NathRides I live in the one of the biggest cities in my country ,125cc bikes have really low cost of insurance and registration and I paid 1500£ for my 2008 yzf r125, my friend has the 2020 mt125 and he paid 3800£ out of the Yamaha dealership it’s really cheap to ride
Well that's your biggest problem living in London. Its higher insurance due to the amount of thefts for bikes that are stolen. Now if you lived in somewhere like a country side thats not known for crime you will pay far less for insurance
