Today, Moon discusses Honkai: Star Rail's v2.1 Character Aventurine, and if you should actually pull for his signature 5-star Light Cone "Inherently Unjust Destiny". There has been a lot of debate regarding how good Aventurine is, whether or not players (especially F2P Players) should pull for Aventurine, and how he compares to our other sustains, Luocha, Huohuo, and Fu Xuan. Aventurine will be our newest Imaginary Preservation class character who focuses on follow-up attacks, shields, debuffing enemies, and buffing the team. This plays a huge part regarding his place in the meta.

so so excited for my boy to arrive! love his character and i'm hype to have a good shielder. also, his fit is looking so slick on your character icon! this is helpful, i already had a fully leveled Gepard LC so i should probably be realistic with myself on this one lol. i'm glad he's on the second half of the banner so we can see a bit about Robin/Boothill before i commit on the LC, as well as character reruns 👀

As Moon says, Geppie's LC is actually very very good on Aventurine so if you don't wanna spend your funds on it, you could definitely skip it and use Geppie's! Can't wait for our boy!

Wish I could go for his LC but there are too many upcoming characters I want - Aventurine, Robin, possibly Jade (I want the full IPC squad). If I went for his LC I'd probably need to spend if I want all of them, so I'm happy to see alternative options. Ty for the great guides destiny.

Glad to see more Zestiny again! Its interesting he is the one dealing the damage with this LC. Maybe there can be some psudo tank builds that instead of him having the highest defense, he can have some crit rate mixed for that crit damage boost.

He gets crit rate based on every 100DEF past one point, so even if you could chase some crit rte on sub stats def should be the priority always

great video moon, if anyone is like me and is scrambling to get a few of the up and coming characters I believe the best LC option for Aventurine hands down is going to be the new MOC LC. since Serval will be on his banner and again if your are like me ant not pulling for his LC the nest option for Serval IMO would no doubt be the new Erudition LC from the MOC shop, it Increases the wearer's ATK by 16/18/20/22/24%. When the wearer uses an attack and affects no fewer than 2 attacked enemies with a corresponding Weakness, the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 turn(s). and serval is always hitting at least 2 enemies so thats a free 40% Crit damage.

Hey, what do you expected the free pulls next version 2.2? I plan on roll for Aventurine but then there’s Robin too, I decided to roll Robin for now but i was really close to have the five star and it’s guaranteed,as usual the first x.0 to at least x.3 will always have a great amount of pulls but i scare if it’s not enough 😢

Since I have four strong damage dealers; Acheron, Jingliu, Kafka, and Black Swan, I am considering getting Aventurine for my Acheron team and I have the Universal Trend LC, but I am saving my Jades for the next new character, Robin. At this point, I need a better preservation unit. Though, I think I will wait after the next program Livestream to make the final decision. In the meantime, I will be building and improving my team while collecting Jades through daily and supply passes.

Currently, my only valid sustainers are HuoHuo and E2 Bailu lol, i started on the playstation release so we dont have Fu Xuan available in our version of game yet.. im definetely gonna pick Aventurine up as i am 70 pity on a garunteed right now (was gonna get acheron E1 but meh, Im kinda over Bailu lol) I dont really think ill go for his lightcone though. Im thinking of just using Trend of the universal market on him and he can go with acheron and huo huo can stick on the other sides MoC team

Sooo I building my Aventurine somewhat a sub dps/sustain support so currently on my Fire TB I have 2 pc knight of purity and 2 pc FUA ashes and 2 pc Sigonia (only because it is Lore accurate) rn its 3500~ Defence (gepard LC) 12 - 13% crit rate and 130~ crit dmg I was recomended to switch crit dmg body to a def due to Aventurine Kit should I pull for his LC as I might not even get Aventurine with the pulls I have and is on 50/50 right now

While not as good as on aventurine, march makes great use of his signature! If you can get >50% cr in substats and use solsotto, march can hit really hard with her follow ups. However she is much more skill point negative and needs to skill a lot to keep up shielding

I think if the increase damage taken effect from aven's sig LC counts as debuff, it'd make him the BiS sustain for acheron and ratio and thats hugeee

I have 2800 max reserve power ready to farm for him and Robin. Before anyone says I don’t play game, the last banner I pulled on was black swan and most of the events, simulated universe, and MoC does not require power so I have been storing up power and jades. 🤣

i think its perfectly fine, but MAKE SURE that 1. aventurine has 4k defense. 2. he has a 2pc pioneer of dead waters (you can even go 4pc). and 3. he has trend of the universal market or his signature. If you can do all 3, i think you’re good! It just requires more investment.

Stack as much DEF as you can on Aventurine, but make sure he either has SPD boots or at least 120 SPD so golden boy can have more turns to stack that shield. His primary position is a sustainer, and DMG is what the DPS is for.

I was thinking the same thing but I decided to go for aventurine cause he is better for gold and gears and swarm disaster, I heard that fu xuan gets absolutely cooked there since she doesn’t actually provide a shield+ after doing his quest I just love him so much, his story was so good. From a meta perspective he is probably better but tbh you should just go for who ever you like more ( in my case it’s aven, I gonna go for him cause I like him more)

Too many players get stuck in the trap of thinking you need the lc or eidolons. When in reality, majority of his strength is at E0 and all you need. It is super easy to get defense from relics so meh. Gacha smack did the math on the crit damage and it actually is not a good stat for him, marginal dmg increases. Like really low.

I feel like if you just want him to sustain his LC is a complete waste. If you're trying to build the full follow-up team where everyone is doing damage, you're gonna want it.
