This video has helped a lot ❤️ I’m almost done with my power plant and I definitely plan on remaking this video and sharing it. I know as a female in the field I have a lot of eyes on me. Going to AIM isn’t for the weak 💯 graduated 2020 from high school started that same year in December COVID is still affecting us till this day but I’m almost done ALL GLORY THANKS TO GOD . Take the advice take all of it because it’s true the longer you wait the more your just going to keep putting it off go after it and don’t ever look back. I wanted to be a pilot but pandemic hit made me rethink my whole life but I don’t regret it I know im exactly where god wants me and im almost done! It’s gonna hurt more to give up Than to finish. If you think it then you are.

I congratulate anyone who takes this path in their career selection but I really commend anyone who didn’t know anything about Aviation before this or didn’t have a desire rest of us do from day one. I commend these people because I’ve always had an interest in Aviation from when I was a little kid I know the phraseology I know almost everything about airplanes from when I was a teenager. If you just hopped on and decided to take this test because it looks like a good career advancement I commend you because it is not easy and have I not had all the experience and flying I did from when I was young I don’t know if I could’ve made it. This test is not just about preparing for the test and memorizing the answers. Believe me when I tell you you may get by the test but when you come work for somebody like me or anybody out there they are going to test your knowledge so best you read in the books and understand why things work the way they do. Your going to have to understand it one way or the other. Now or later you will need to learn it Good luck ladies and gentleman.

Good information. I got my A&P in August 2019 and my bachelors in Aviation Management, worked for an MRO for 2 years and currently working for an FBO. I still remember the nerves of taking all of my tests, including O&P. Great memories

I'm interested in becoming an aircraft mechanic when I graduate highschool in 2023. In my area Haeco America's is offering to pay people for training and give them a position as mechanic in a 16 week program. Do you think this is a good option for starting out as a mechanic? The starting wage seems decent.

Over 2 decades as an AMT (retired now), my advice, ask what are the pros and cons of getting into this field. Also understand the economics of the industry and what affects its bottom line.

I’m 36 and struggling to get a job in industrial automation and controls after I got me mechatronics degreee in 2015. I ended up getting a job at directv and then an electronic technician job repairing credit card readers and didn’t end up using many of the skills I learned in college. I’m studying back up to get a job in controls and am going to go to sac city college for their A&P. Thank you for this video. I frankly feel like a loser sometimes but I know it’s not true. I’m excited to go into this field.

I did a HVAC trade damn I wish I would have done a aviation one instead. The pay is much better by far.

I couldn't afford to go to a school so I joined the Navy instead. Took some classes in my off time when I could, Uncle Sam paid for all of it. Took all my tests and had my A&P the month after I separated. Went to work defense contract no A&P required, then got moved to a contract where it was required. Next step was with a commuter/regional airline, then air freight, then major US airline. Just recently retired after 30+ years in the business. If you are going to go in this business it is a true 24/7 365 business. There are no weekends or holidays and be prepared to work many YEARS of third shift. There are many dangerous chemicals and substances you will handle. It's also a dangerous business I have seen people die and be maimed for life. You will also be subject to random drug & alcohol testing. Hope this information helps. FLY NAVY!!!

Any good schools near Sacramento? Do Any schools offer relocation help?

Lately what I've seen especially from AIM, They are takin the money and putting people out there who have no business in aviation. The graduates show ready for a paycheck, not to concerned about quality or safety of flight. Most on cell phones alot of the time and chatting all day long. Frustrating for those of us who take it seriously and being doing it a while.

do you know any good schools for aviation mechanics in Houston that has a good teaching system? i been thinking a lot between becoming a pilot or aviation powerplant mechanic. one thing I have heard about aviation mechanic school is that you have to teach yourself a lot and find time to gain your own experience and I don't have a job that does that currently so I am anxious about the teaching your self hands on experiance.

Hello sir how do I get my A&P certificate.I have 5years working experience as an A&P in my country, and I have my local A&P license. I try to contact fsdo and he ask me a detailed log book for airframe and powerplant which is I don’t have. I only have is recommendations letter from my previous company stating that they recommend me to get my A&P license.and other employment certificates from different company and country.what I need to do sir? Hey i just completed my tour at my aviation mechanic school near me and am really excited and nervous just a quick question... should i know how to use the tools necessary for the job before starting (wrench etc) my classes, i start in around 2 months and not sure if they'll teach me all of that just because its so basic please answer thank you!

How long does it take to get your A and P certificate?

I'm graduating in 2023 in Oklahoma and My dad wants me to join AIM, but I don't know if I should and at the same time I don't know if I even wanna go to college because I'm really scared of getting into debt and I don't find myself wanting to get a higher education at all. I am not the smartest nor do I have a good memory but I do have a good comprehension of things.

The job itself is fun and very interesting, but there is hazing culture and just way too many toxic people who are willing to make your life as miserable as possible for reasons that has absolutely nothing to do with the job... If somebody with more seniority than you was forced to sleep on the couch the night before, best believe you as an apprentice would be paying for it.. There is a reason why everyone wants an office job and nobody wants to be in trades Stay far away.. definitely not worth going to school for it
