JORDY you have no idea how many times you have made me smile . so I'm very happy I was able to make you smile . this was a great video . you fit in so well with all those other great carvers . there is a reason you are being allowed into there inner circle . its because of your humbleness , respectfulness , your pure will to learn and accept and follow their direction. you bring out the best in them too , because you can see that they are remembering when it was them learning and thirsting for knowledge and wishing for someone to help them and and teach them some of the tricks of the trade and have someone share their knowledge with them. your in very good company there Jordy ,and the reason is because of the person you are . you are now getting a little bit back of what you have given to all of us so freely and willingly .... Carma Jordy ! your getting a little of what you deserve back . great to see !
Glad you hooked with such a nice experienced carver and you guys get along. Don’t stoop to haters, friends help friends. Haters are lonely miserable toxic well….you know!😎
Hey, Jordy. I know this video is at least three years old, but I just watched it for the first time. You Canadians are something else. I could watch you guys talk about your carving all day. So inspiring. I'm a 60 year old man from Massachusetts, and I am going to give this a go. Just wanted you to know how awesome you and your fellow carvers are. By the way, huge hockey fan here. I watch my Bruins fail every year. You have a favorite team? Take care, man. Thank you, thank you! Dave
It is so true what Clare said.Just so u know u did an awesome 1st time trying an owl out.Jody u have helped me so much in carving.I always end up back at your videos looking to see what u r carving .You do care about showing other people how too. Thanks again.
Hey there folks, I've just discovered this great carving website this morning. I'm actually planing on carvin an owl, so I found this very inspiring. I thought Jordy's cap looked pretty cool too. Take care guys and happy carving
Jordy the Hack Johnson - Great name. You have come a long way and you do great work...very creative in the things you carve and the finishes you give to your creations. I have learned a lot... and like you I am trying to take my carving to another level. Thanks to you and Ryan.
hi jordy. great video, awesome to see you and the pros carving together, your owl looks wicked. great job, keep carving and you will be the next pro. stay safe.
Hi guys great video, any chance of doing a video on relief cuts, to avoid excessive cracking, and how deep they should be, where best to put them. Cheers guys really appreciate your guidance and expertise. Regards Eddie 😊😉👍
Hey Jordy! It sucks being called a hack publicly! LOL Thanks for coming to my defense when it happened to me for no reason! Thanks for starting the new page so I have a forum to learn and share! You rock man!
Its very hard to teach new things to anyone,a good teacher can bring the best out in people, the hard thing is to find a teacher that can teach Well and consistently, both of you can teach and you both do it very well indeed. Thanks to you both for your free and welcoming teaching methods. 🏴🧙♂️😁🏴
Wicked Bro..... Looks like you had one of the best days ever an your owl looks awesome, great video an looking forward to Uncle Kev Carves. Hope your good bro
You are so blessed to live in the great wh te north. I can only long for big sky, tall trees, and voices from the crick. To walk the path of the indigineous would be so cool. Man you are lucky
It was great to watch you both carving! We learn alongside of you when Ryan's teaching. As to the haters, even the Pro's started somewhere, i bet their first efforts weren't half as good as yours. Keep on being you Jordy, that's what we're here for.
F those haters....thank you for making these videos, you inspired me to try it out im almost done with my first piece and its turning out decent. (Dremel) not chainsaw yet...
Love your attitude Jordy you could have gone the other way and run down your hater but actually have gratitude towards him As for Ryan he's a sweet heart his talent and fame has not gone to his head He is a great friend You both are great guys, carvers and teachers Love you both PS Ryan makes looks so easy 😫 ❤
Cool vid. I watched the live stream on Ryan's channel to. Looks like you guys have fun together. I watched Ryan's vid of him carving that tree, cool stuff and great tribute to the area. Looks like your "BRANCHING" out, haha. Couldn't resist. Hi Jordy
Soooooo, Awesome! I can’t get enough of seeing you two working together, and this time you had 2 other in the shop with you. I can’t wait to check out Kevins new page too. And of course whenever Douglas get his site going too. Now to get busy for awhile, but I’m going to try and also watch Ryan’s video sometime today too. Peace out Jordy✌🏽
You seem like a laid back guy I like the fact that you put having fun with it before anything else because when I tried making things exact they ended up the complete opposite. then I started watching your channel and having fun doing it actually improved the result. I just started haha but having fun with it keeps me wanting to do it. Let me clarify I’m no where near trying it with a chain saw I’m only using dremels and other hand held power tools
Wow that’s totally awesome congratulations that’s so awesome I love watching both of you guys thank you very much for sharing everything I’m just learning how and you guys are my mentors can’t thank you enough for taking your time and sharing your wonderful talent and artistic talent
Love watching you and Ryan as a team. I'm waaaaay too old to do chain sawing, but the principles are just as sound for Dremel carving. Thank you so much. I wonder - if Dremel, or someone, would someday make a teeny Dremel-sized chain saw....
You both are great inspirations. I’m just starting out playing around with this new medium, whatchin you really helps me out a lot. I’m can see what I want to do in my head but once I pick up the chainsaw its not as easy as it looks making the first few cuts. Thank you. Jim from Buffalo NY
I would like to see a HOW TO video that covers different parts of a total bear, eagle, or owl. Something we can use to practice the eyes, nose, feet, "arms," feathers, and any other parts that you need to know to put together a complete carving.
Excellent job Gentlemen!! Jordy, what burr was Kevin using when he was helping you detail the owl? The one that kind of burns in highlights? Thanks for all the knowledge, and inspiration!!! I can't tell you how much carving helps with my anxiety and depression. So thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU!!
Awesome guys...One can never stop learning n never know what you can do till you try, great teachers you are , thanks...PS... What's the name of saw horse you use ? Thanks again
I don't know but my definition of hack was shortcut oh, don't we all want to learn shortcuts to get to our destination quicker are you a hack if you go out in nature and find a log that already has a face somewhat in it that you can see and work off of it is that a hack if something inspires you and give you an idea could that be considered a hack I mean it's a shortcut right it's giving you an idea it's giving you a picture in your head, that's just kind of an ignorant statement I think oh, screw the haters no matter what it's not easy to be an artist even people that copy other people's work still have to do it physically that's not easy. I've learned too many times that the end justifies the means. I hope that makes sense
