These modern cookers have three different safety mechanisms. Nothing to worry about, the Swiss take safety pretty seriously. We've been using several for twenty years, never an issue.
Merci
Checking out the smallest one KR make but I can’t find any weights for the pressure cookers. Does anyone know the weights especially the small one. Thanks.
Steam is coming through the valve housing and the valve is not coming up. Is something wrong? It used to work better. I'm cooking some chickpeas and never sure if I put more water than necessary
Assuming there is adequate water in the pot, I would tap the lid close to the center without touching the valve. That will break the friction and it will rise. If the seal is failing because the gasket is worn out, that will also cause the cooker to fail to fully pressurize. In that case it is time to replace the gasket. Also check if the emergency release valve is not leaking. That can also be easily replaced.
