My coach always taught me the visual when picking up ground balls of "scraping your knuckles" by getting your stick and hands that flat and low on the ground. Obviously, don't really aim to scrape them...but keeping that visual in mind helps
im a 14 year old, im planning on joing the JV lacrosse team in my high school! im gonna practice super hard, my biggest fear is making stupid mistakes and letting my team down.
literally me right now!! I'm just afraid that I might not be practicing hard enough or unsure how to and afraid that I won't make the team, I know your comment was from like a year ago so how's your experience going on now??? Or do you have any advice or tips??
I'm a guy and have watched a ton of girls lacrosse and it may not be full contact like guys but I would not call it 'non contact' - it is full power scrum fighting lots of times - in a good way - that is why I think it is a great sport for girls - it has controlled aggression - the guys is way too 'hockey like' - I think guys lacrosse loses finesse because of that overt aggression
