total beginner here on my first day with any sort of flow art at all, the most difficult thing for me to figure out was the position my hand needed to be in to stabilize the wand. once i figured that out, it became a problem of how to move my hand, elbow, and shoulder in unison to a) keep my hand and leash behind the wand, and b) keep it stable during the stalls. that clicked for me shortly after finding the resting hand position!!! i realized what motion you had been making in the video and was able to replicate it for a couple of swings on my first try, and now im just working on developing the muscle memory for that movement :) thank you for making this video it was incredibly helpful!!
Thank you for making these tutorials!! I just received my wand after putting off buying it for a couple years, getting into flow arts and these videos have been SUPER helpful! I’ve never done flow arts before and only working on this for a day I already feel connected to my prop and it almost feels natural moving the wand(minus the awkward “reset” hand for illusions). Please continue to make tutorials on this 🙏🏽
Nice intro. Very relaxed and inviting to us noobs. Your advice about moving the whole body is what it took for me to get the side-to-side stalls working for the first time. Lots to learn, but at least it appears possible now.
@@sacredflowart Thanks for making the tutorials! I will be watching all of them. (BTW, it's "Stevens." I'm a plural. My parents must have thought I was more trouble than just one child, or something...)
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial, I use a firestaff and fire poi but thought I'd have a go at this, I bought a Levi stick with no idea how to use it and it wobbled everywhere but after this tutorial I'm getting used to it, thank you
Question about your content. Do you, or anyone else you recommend, work with levi-staffs? Much longer levi-wands and longer strings? I just got into this, and actually created my own levi-lightsaber and it works beautifully, but I do not see much content/tutorials regarding longer staves or strings that fit this style more. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! It is such a beautiful art and I really want to invest in it, it is just the shorter wands or strings do not apply to what I am trying to do as much.
Very cool idea! Check out our levi wands and light sabers here! sacredflowart.com/product-category/levitation-wands/ sacredflowart.com/product/led-spectrum-light-saber/
You are a good teacher, enough detailed explanations, shown more than one time, good beginner exercises... and you have a chilled and based attitude. Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about the Levis Stick you use. How exactly is the fine line fixed at the stick? I tried to build a Levi Stick by my own, as I can see in your intro the one you use has two holes and the line is coming out just at one hole? I tried to build it and it worked quite ok.... In different online stores I could look at pictures of Levi Sticks. I also have seen sticks with a whirl, as you maybe know from Pois.. . Did you try this? In my opinion a whirl will make the Stick uncontrolable or am i thinking wrong? More and videos would be great. Stay tuned and flash the people with your skills. Greetings from Munich/Bavaria
Thank you for the kind comments! Hopefully more videos to answer your questions soon! We have tutorials on many other props on our channel too! And if you're looking for a levitation wand for yourself, all of ours ship to Germany! ->> sacredflowart.com/product-category/levitation-wands/
is it like like juggling but maybe easier? General question not trying to be a twat. When juggling you can feel it out and eventually do tricks that were hard with your eyes closed, I presume its the same its timing and feeling? I'm intrigued I will carry on watching
Hello, I would like to ask what kind of string should I use? I made a fire leviwand by myself but the string I use would be burned down easily:( Hoping that someone can give me an advice.
I'm an absolute rank beginner, as in I got my very first practice wand today, and this has been very, very helpful. Getting that precious stability during side stalls and doing full body orbits so far are a bit difficult but I know I'll get it. Oddly enough, I have greater success with my non-dominant hand than my dominant hand so that might just have to be how I flow. LOL
She can definitely learn the Levitation Wand! Just takes a little bit of practice! Here's a link to the Levitation wand in the video: sacredflowart.com/product/spectrum-led-levitation-wand/
