I think when it comes to the weights, you should add slightly more led towards the tail of the lure, always make sure you test the sealed blank with the sinker, prior to installing the weights, make sure to use the split rings and hooks, your boyfriend will intend to use on the finished lure, aim for lure standing at around 45° angle towards the surface, allow little extra buoyancy for the paint and multiple epoxy coats 😉 also diving poppers are fine to be so wide bodied, for the stick bait is better to make them more narrow, like round profile or even slightly oblique vertically 😉 I hope this few tips will help you when you will have opportunity to make the lures again 🤜🤛

Great stick baits. Try putting a little more weight in the tail ends. Will make a big difference in the action. Im heading back to NZ later this year. Cant wait to get the rod out and throw a few sticks for the kingi's

The lures look great! Your video title says "Lure-Making" and your description says "Making Some Lures" but the only part of the build you show is painting. Please show all aspects of lure creation so we can learn too. 😃 Test on a windy day is real world testing. We can still see top water lures in action. A calm day is best for underwater lures, or an underwater camera. Thanks for the video!
