Today, Teacher John teaches you how to say "after" in Mandarin Chinese. You can use "以后 (yĭhòu)" to indicate that something will happen after a specific time, action or event.
In English, the word "after" usually goes BEFORE as specific time. However, in Chinese, the word "以后 (yĭhòu)" usually goes after these events and times.

For example:
Wǔ diǎn yǐhòu.
五点以后.
After 5 o'clock.
Sān tiān yǐhòu.
三天后.
After three days.

John goes on to explain a few more situations in which you can use "以后 (yĭhòu)". Some new language from the lesson includes:
票 (piào) = ticket
毕业 (bìyè) = graduate

Dào le yĭhòu gěi wǒ fā duǎnxìn.
到了以后给我发短信.
Send me a text message after you get there.
到 (dào) = to arrive
短信 (duǎnxìn) = text message
