wow, I had not idea drum hits were referred to as notes. Not that I know much about drumming. I create drum patterns for my own music, but it's strictly based on what I like, and what I know from listening to music. But I never understood hi hat patterns, so this is interesting.
I really do love these videos, they help tremendously and it's great to have multiple views but there's one more I'd like to see, especially on this one, and that's a cam even angled with the hi hats themselves so I could watch the opening and closing and how far they're being opened and closed. Still, really great video and thank you for having these up to help people like me ;) :)
do you always hit the high hat on open ? i thought i heard a high hat be hit on close then immediately open it without hitting it again, is this wrong?
@Tripletblast They're updating their videos for their "drum lessons" channel. They have new and better equipment and better sound! Lemme know if I'm wrong Jared :/
I have a question about high hats. If anyone can help, it would be great. I do want to give the warning though that I am new, so if the question is dumb, I do apologize
