I watched the video on the Todoist channel and wanted to share my thoughts. I'm 50 years old and trying to teach myself how to plan. I have been an entrepreneur for 30 years, but planning has always been my weak point. The problem is that I don't like controlling things, which leads to my plans going off course without systematic adjustments. After downloading the weekly review template, I have been trying to analyze my plans from the previous week and more effectively create and adjust plans for the upcoming week. I still want to become more efficient, and staying consistent with planning is very important to me. Positive emotions add motivation on my path to developing this habit.

I'm not interested in Todoist Pro, because I have it already, so I wanted to say thanks to Naomi for her pleasant and helpful formatting style. I also appreciate how positive and life-affirming she is. The bloopers at the end were a particularly nice touch!

I'm one of those people who has a weekly review scheduled every week but when the time comes it feels so overwhelming I often skip it for later. I find it helps to use the review time for planning/scheduling new tasks and making sure the super urgent things are done rather than trying to completely clear my inbox in one go (never happens!). Then I tickle away at the less urgent tasks for a few mins each day.

I love the idea of a weekly review and need to start working that into my weekly routine. However, I find that it's too easy for me to skip it for this week, thinking that I'll do it later. Well, "later" never comes and my weekly review doesn't get done. That said, this was a very informative tutorial. Thanks so much for this video.

I ❤ seeing these videos pop up in my feed, especially with the outtakes 😆. Yes I agree the weekly review is critical. One thing I would add which I've found to be critical is always begin the review with 'celebrate'. Really revel in what's gone well this week, what you've enjoyed and what you're grateful for. Not only does it mean you get off to a great start, but I think we don't do enough celebration in our working lives. I used to stick to GTD but now I have my own model, but the review is vital (and todoist of course!)

I retired last year and the weekly review was a key part of my work week on a Friday afternoon (no meetings, no appointments). Now I'm trying to work it into my "new life" to give each week a purpose and direction, not just let each day waste away. This video is a great reminder.

Love your relaxed, conversational style. The addition of the beautiful Irish accent makes for an easy listening experience. I appreciate the importance of weekly reviews as, amongst other things, it ensures I can look at all my tasks with a critical eye and ask myself why I’ve given myself tasks for the previous week that were little more than things I didn’t want to forget for some future unspecified date. In other words, it helps me to ensure Todoist is “lean and tight” and that avoids me feeling overwhelmed by a massive list of “tasks” that aren’t all actionable right now or even in the near future. Great video, many thanks 👍

I started doing a weekly review because of Naomi's suggestion in previous emails, and I love it. In my "Projection" section, I added "Block time in your calendar to work off-site," and that has been a game changer. Making a plan to work away from the busyness of the office and focus on executing tasks has been 100% worth the entire review. Thanks for creating legitimately awesome content for your audience!

Wow! It totally makes sense and she makes me feel like things are doable/manageable. I currently feel like I’m drowning in tasks (& therefore constantly ‘firefighting’). Definitely want to give this a go! Dedicating a set time to review/reset/clarify in my mind what my goals are for the week (AND long-term) will be way less time-consuming than the firefighting method! And much more productive/focussed - thank you so much for this vid - I’m now subscribed 😊

GREAT video! I'm working on this philosophy, but this gives me a clearer, more comprehensive path to make this review so valuable. I've struggled to communicate it to my ADHD wife because I didn't know it well enough.
