Great video. I've been an avid user of Todoist for a few years now. HOWEVER, it's notable that no one from Todoist came back to answer questions in the comments. That's really disappointing and doesn't give a great impression. Come on Todoist, you can do better than that.
You're totally right Ben! We're getting 100's of comments across the videos at the moment and have yet to find a good workflow for fielding and responding to them. The YT system doesn't make it easy (I just approved your comment then spent 6 mins finding it again 😅). Maybe we need some software to help. Anywho, thanks for the nudge and the patience while we figure it out 😊 - Naomi
In a similar way, I find my shortcomings in understanding a topic when preparing for and giving a presentation. This is especially true when the audience are experts in the field. 😬
Very good explanation. I'm using this on and off for > 10 years and going to check out your template. I agree it is essential for your mental well being to do this.
Thank you. Very good and variety explanation of deep work. I really wish now that Todoist has a calendar, I really wish to see big countdown Timer that shows me how much time left to finish the task. Something like pomodoro timer but it is related to the current task on my calendar and according to its duration left. E.g. if the time now is 10:36 and I have a task “Build presentation” between 10:15 to 10:45” I wish to see on the top of the calendar big title”Build Presentation” 9:26 minutes left. This will really keep me focused on the current task at hand each hour of the day. Would be also nice to see it on my iphone as live notifications with countdown timer as I have in toggl or Tiimo apps
Great channel. Just discovered. Actually I have a mess on my personal and professional life, so I will eat my frog at first, trying to establish a Organization Sistem that works for me. I think Todoist will help a lot...!! Thanks Naomi, your videos are highly inspirational for me at this moment. Regards from Chile.!
I definitely needed this video. I believe I have the book called "Eat the frog", so it truly brings it home. Between eating the frog and taming my gremlin, I just need to get the thing done & stop making it more than what it is in the long run.
It would be good to have an option to keep completed tasks visible instead of marking them as ‘overdue’ after their scheduled time/date. This feature could provide a positive sense of progress throughout the days.
Wow, that sounds so great. But as some people mentioned in comments - we didn't get this feature, it still says it's only for a pro plan. I have updated at least 3 times, still no reminders for me.
I enjoyed the tips. I've actually found myself applying some of these tips without knowing the name of the process. I'll often learn things and try to explain it to other people. Thanks again!
Reminders are still listed as an upgrade for me. I tried a test task and it didn't set a reminder. My settings for Reminders don't have any options except to upgrade to Pro. I'm using the most current version from what I can tell. Any suggestions?
I just discovered your and really want to say thanks! This technique is something that has come to my attention a few times in the past but you just gave me the final push to really try it out myself. Great Video :)
Wow. I've used some of these concepts before: teaching, simplifying, even analogies. But didn't know that together they form a formal strategy or technique to learning. By actively applying these four steps, including the reviewing and returning to the base information (or looking for more if required), this could really help provide focus on the subject, and assist in 'tracking' just how well a subject has been learned, and what to do next. I've started a couple of simple TD Projects based on the examples in website article and will see if they help me with my learning goals. Thank you Naomi. These little bite sized insights are very useful.
I have used it for many years, I am currently applying it to drawing, I love it because not only do I learn but also those I teach. Saludos desde México!
