I love watching your videos. I have been wanting a tumbler press but have been on the fence if I really needed it or not. I believe I will put this one on my wish list. I have looked at it several times and you have sold me on it. Thank you for all your great videos.
Thank you for this video and I was so encouraged to maybe get into making mugs and tumblers now. I like that it can do two at a time instead of the one mug press plus to beable to do tumblers as well I like that !!
Love the Mugs and the Tumblers.. I wish I had a small oven in my craft room but I think I would have to take over the other bedroom across from my craft room..
@@HeyLetsMakeStuff Or better yet, when my daughter is finished with college we can just get the wall knocked down between her room and my craft room. At least I have a Mug Press
I bought one of those tape despensers, never could get it to work. lol Thanks for reviewing this, I was just looking at it on Amazon yesterday. I was trying to decide between the 2.0 and the 3.0. I really liked the screen moving to the front.
I really love how much narrower it is with the control panel on the front! I have it on a baker's rack next to my convection oven for storage and it fits perfectly. Bummer about the tape dispenser!
Thank you for this video. I have debated getting this press because I have been successful using a sublimation oven. The fact that it can do two mugs at once is intriguing. My Cricut Mug Press has been nice, but the Power button has collapsed and it’s only a matter of time until it fails I fear. It’s out of warranty, so I may just upgrade to the PYD Press. I’ve used their tumblers, shrink wrap and heat tape and think they make some of the best products in the market.
Bummer about your mug press! I do think that this is a good upgrade - I agree that pretty much everything I’ve had from PYD life has been higher quality than a lot of other stuff I’ve purchased on Amazon.
I have a question... I recently bought this press and having issues when doing coffee mugs. It doesn't press the design fully by the handle. I have even tried rotating it and doing another 280 sec but it doesn't work.
On your webpage, regarding when you received this tumbler press, you said: "(NOTE: I always do a test press of my image on a piece of cheap polyester before trying it on my blank. That way I can see if I am going to have any color issues. I’d rather spend the extra few cents for a print than ruin a whole blank because my colors were totally off. Check out my post for more information.)".......................Please tell me how you'd test the tumbler press with cheap polyester?
For these I did 360° for 60 seconds, then rotate for another 60 seconds. BUT I always start with the manufacturer recommendations because every blank is different :)
Quick question I hope you see 🙂 When adjusting pressure, should the tumbler be unable to move when pressure engaged with handle, or should there be some movement? I think I may be using too much pressure. I have little to no gap when handle is engaged
You shouldn’t be able to move the tumbler once the pressure is engaged. You don’t want it so hard that you can barely get it open or closed, though. It may be that your particular heating source is the same size as your tumbler, so I wouldn’t worry so much about not having a gap! And I would still rotate it, because I feel like right at the edge, it doesn’t get quite as hot.
@@HeyLetsMakeStuff thank you! My cups look good but a tad overcooked. Im going to adjust my settings to yours and I’m going to see if you have a glass tumbler tutorial! I’m glad I found you!
Hi, thank you for that tutorial, very helpful. I have a question you may know, been searching the internet but cant find an answer. So when i print on my sublimation paper, the colors are what I want it to be (blue) but when i heat press it on my mug, it comes out black! This is the first time this is happening to me. I don't get it, i did 4 different mugs, printed it out on 2 different settings, used 2 different press machines but it still comes out black. Theres some gold in my pic, which comes out gold, but all the blue is black! Please help if you can. Thank you,
@@HeyLetsMakeStuff I did make a specific sublimation profile for this printer. I just don't get it, why the blue doesn't come out. Could it be because I copied the icon thru the internet?
