Oh no, on 2nd to last episode in this series and I'm sad! Love you Matthew! I'll be re-watching from the first episode since I just got my Waterbox 175.6 (117 gal display tank) delivered. It know it's a lot bigger than what you recommend for a beginner, so I'm a bit nervous. I bit the bullet on the size because I absolutely must have a Blue Hippo Tang one day and would rather not have to upgrade. However, I'm not a complete newbie, coming from a 55 gal freshwater in my own home and I used to work at local aquarium as an aquarist aide with a marine bio degree (hence my username). But this will be my first saltwater aquarium in my own home so this has been super educational (especially everything about corals). THANK YOU!

I was just doing this last night and looking for a video for reference. Thank you BRS!! Just mounted a birds-nest, wwc dragon-fruit montipora, wwc lucky charms monitpora, wwc slush puppy montipora, wwc blue polyp montipora, and green star polyp. These were all added to my aquascape in my evo 13.5. Cutting the frag plugs and adding them to the rock makes it look 🔥🔥🔥 can’t wait to see these grow into a mini forest of coral.

I have put super glue into a syringe and used the syringe to fill in cracks between rocks to secure them and glue frags (plugs) to rocks. As long as I don't retract (pull out) the plunger in the water the glue will not harden inside the syringe. I use a paper towel to wipe the water and glue off the tip and then retract the plunger a little bit. I am on my third week with super glue inside a syringe without it hardening inside the syringe.

Thanks for all the ideas and tips. I’d never heard of the super glue epoxy sandwich method. Jim PS: As a doc who has worked the ER, I highly advise gloves. Superglue is a constant source of patients and dark humor.

When I go to the beach during low tide, I find large corals on live rocks and Im tempted to get one of the smaller ones but I'm probably just gonna wait til it's dead and I won't be burdened by trying to keep a Coral alive

My sand sifting goby is a massive pain in the as but he’s also my favourite fish so i don’t mind blowing sand off my corals every other day

Not sure how I got away with just plopping them in before lol. I think they frequently came on pieces of rock back in the day and I never had a frag or frag plug to worry about

Man I love your content! Got a quick question bud. I have a Penn-Paxx 200 watt heater now in my tank. When it comes on it makes a click noise. And when it turns off it clicks. Is this normal? I have it located close to the back corner of the tank. And it’s a submerged type heater. I have it completely in the water except the top inch or less where the temp dial is. I just wanna make sure this is normal before I add my first 2 clown fish next week as my tank is pretty much cycled

We haven't used that particular heater before, but a relay will make a clicking sound when it's triggered, so it doesn't sound like anything to be concerned about since it only happens when the heater turns on/off.

Which of these can allow coral to stick stable-y but not permanently? I may want to move corals around.
