Does anyone know the actual angle relative to the shooter of hard- and quarter-angle targets from posts 1 and 5? Thanks.

I am sure someone might have figured it out. However not all trap fields are set to regulation. From station 3 I believe the targets can go 44 degrees total from the hard right or left. That would make more of an angle on station 1 and 5. Another factor is wind. Wind can push the target creating more or less of an angle depending on the wind. You are overthinking it.

@@DeanBlanchard Jeff Meloy told me that NORMAL hard-angle targets from posts 1 and 5 fly at an angle of 38.5 degrees, assuming that - the way we are measuring - a straightaway is 0 degrees.

Thank you! Is the gun in your video a 20 or 12-gauge shotgun? When shooting trap or sports shooting, does a 12- gauge shotgun give the shooter an advantage compared to using a 20-gauge shotgun?

I was using a 12 ga. 12ga shells have more pellets in 1 1/8 shells compared to a 20. However weight can be a factor. If you are small and not strong a 20ga will be easier to handle. If you have the strength to move a 12 easily then you would be better off with a 12.
