Thanks for your vid. I'm currently working my 1973 SR 500. The previous owners wiring is... horrendous. I am determined to tidy it up and have like wires continue in the same circuit...not a red turning into a green the other side of a connector. How long Will the electric system require to let you know it's about to fry itself due to faulty wiring? I'm talking about when I finish and switch on for the first time.
Before you do anything, sit down and study the std wiring diagram, or if your making your own wiring harness, then draw out your own diagram on paper, and make sure you understand it all before you begin. Also you can test different parts of the wiring as you build it, thinks like lights, horn, switches and so on. So there is no concern when the whole wiring is completed. I use a multimeter, cheap these days, and found a small 12v battery very handy to test circuits as you make them, the small 12v battery is powerful enough to fry your wiring, in case things go wrong..
