Great video, I am completely new to Stream Deck and bought the XL. Had multiple pages, but after watching your video I switched to profiles and am using the switch profile key. All I can say is thank you for your informative video.
I have my Stream Deck arriving tomorrow. I’ve watched a huge amount of videos in preparation. I have to say, yours are fantastic! Lots of your tutorials saved ready to follow tomorrow. Thanks very much!
Great overview of the buttons and, more importantly, using some of the features. One feature I am struggling with is adding a Mac OS system shutdown. There are ways to do it, but I can't seem to make it work with the v6 software - it's almost like Apple told Elgato, "No, you can't have access to the power button shortcut." I've tried with a hotkey, but I can't type the magic digits, and it seems that stacking the command-opt, etc, isn't permitted.
You’re welcome Geraldine! I’ve got more Stream Deck videos on the list to make over the next couple of weeks. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions or issues. 🙏😊
All of the actions on stream deck are saved on your computer rather than the device itself - it is effectively just a keyboard. So you can simply hand the device to your friend, instruct them to download the Stream Deck software and it will be just like new!
Hey Alec...I give demos for a living. What is the app you use to make it look like you are running the apps on an iMac in the background? Thanks in advance. :)
I'm afraid I got lost within 5mins...need to find a video on setting up from very start...I've had the stream deck for ages and really never been able to get it working properly..😔
I can't view which profile is active from the stream deck. It won't light up the active profile or change the image :( I have to open stream deck app to see "hey what profile is my pedal on" ?
Thanks for the feedback and sorry if it was disappointing... the whole thing about my channel is I make all of the videos in one take with no edits... This can be a blessing and a curse! This was one of my first videos and so have tried to improve my technique since then!! Still got a way to go if I'm honest though!
@@TakeOneTech Alec, I have been a professional presenter for nearly 40 years. You do a brilliant job. You speak clearly. You are methodical. You so obviously know your subject inside out. I have a feeling, I'll be learning SO much from you. THANK YOU!!!
