I'm one of the ones that when I started Keto, I decided I would be serious about it and stick it out no matter what!.. I was giving myself a 2 month run of it.. I figured, what's 2 months of my life? I have stayed strict Keto since then... I just started Jan 1st and I've already lost 40ish pounds... MANY inches all over my body.. with the biggest loss being 7 inches in my waist! I've never felt healthier in my life because my body now doesn't have to struggle with the sugars and carbs, it has time to take care and repair other things! I feel amazing and have more energy than ever! It's because of you and Nicole Burgess, watching your journeys that I decided to try it.. Lord knows I've tried everything else and it failed! This has been sustainable for me because you get to eat!!. you don't go hungry, and the fats keeps you full!! This is now my forever lifestyle!! Thanks for all you do and for being so inspiring to so many! Love you!
The best thing about this video is your mom not needing insulin anymore! That’s fantastic! Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate that it talks about the easy and the hard parts of choosing this lifestyle. 😊
I’m glad you addressed hair loss. I, too, experience that when it started about 8 weeks or so after starting this eating plan. It took a while before I realized it wasn’t just a periodic shed, that I had experienced a couple other times in life (non weight related). I actually don’t mind the trade-off to be honest. My hair dries so much faster now. And having lost 50+ pounds now (I’ve been maintaining that the last 3 months) I wear my hair up, which I never felt confident doing when I was overweight! I’m getting to know my cheek bones! And guess what, With the weight gone I qualified for a 20-year life insurance policy. I couldn’t lock one in before because of my weight. Yes, the insurance company had someone come to my home in January to weigh me, and take blood. Then because I said I had recently lost a lot of weight (50 lbs in 6 months) they required all of my health records for the last 5 years so I just e-signed a hippy release online for that. I was honest and although it took a couple months to get approved, I was! That is a huge deal for me as our daughters are in their child bearing years and since I am retired I don’t have life insurance through a job. So that is one cool thing besides feeling great, enjoying clothes again and being healthy! Hooray for keto, however you want to do it, I am a fan for life!
I'm so happy for your Mom that insulin is no longer needed for her. That is great. I wish I listen to this video before I started. But I'm so Thankful that you made this for us. Alot of good information. Thank you for sharing ♡♡
Great video. Thank you for all that you do. Before I begin, I would like to make clear I am not a doctor. I am speaking from personal experience after being on keto for 9 months and losing 80 lbs. I would like stress how important your comments on research are. For someone new to this that may have an underlying medical condition, research and having a discussion with your doctor are by far the most important things a person can do. Also, I cannot begin to tell you how important electrolytes are for someone (like me) who has a heart arrhythmia. I'm sure there are other medical conditions that might be effected by an electrolyte imbalance as well. For me, losing the 80 lbs and getting my electrolytes corrected has reduced my arrhythmia issues to almost zero for 5 months now not to mention many other health improvements.
Another great video Kristi and excellent tips for beginners! This July will be 2 years since I've been doing keto and I've never felt better. Lost almost 50lbs and I'm back to my high school weight of 160...I'm 55. I've had no issues maintaining this weight. Like Kristi said, sometimes you might give into temptation but as long as you can get back up on the horse and stay the course you will be fine in the long run, just don't give up! Once you feel comfortable eating keto you might want to think about adding in intermittent fasting for even better results. You don't have to go crazy at first, just start eating your first meal later and later in the day until you're only eating two meals a day.
Keto is always learning new things. You MUST do some research so that you understand what you are looking for with ingredients and what your body needs. This is a choice and lifestyle. My person said to me you know you can't do this a life time it has been shown you will loose muscle ..... I was like what are you talking about and why not? The really only thing I am doing is NOT eating Sugar and Carbs and my blood work was perfect and guess what my vegetarian boss just got her blood work back and has high cholesterol.... ummm hummm (oh snap) So you can live this life style and you feel good and the KETO people are supportive and awesome. And our sweet Kristi is always here to love and support her followers :-) Thanks Kristi ! ! ! HUGs
Thx so much for doin this video my friend...so very helpful an informative...u look so beautiful...hope Quincy is doin better...still sendin prayer an luv ur way...stay safe🤗💖💖💖
Thank you for all the helpful information. I missed the discount dates for Perfect Keto. I tried the 40 and 15% off. How often do you post the discount codes for the collagen?
Omg where was this video months ago. I was low carb no more than 30 carbs a day and was good until February 10th when my mom passed away. Everything has went to hell since then. I'm an emotional eater and I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am trying to get back on it but I feel like it's a lost cause. I'm diabetic and I know I need to get back on this lifestyle but I'm so sick of pork skins and they have started making me nauseated. Help
I knew about most of the things that can happen to your body when doing keto, but didn't know about muscle cramps - been having some that have actually woke me up, but I do take a magnesium supplement, have still had some, so would you have a suggestion as to how much should be taking . Thanks
HELP!!!! Hi Kristi! I want to start keto so bad but afraid I won’t do it right. Thinking lazy keto would be best for me. So for lazy keto you just count carbs. Do I need to stay in a calorie range too? Do I need to worry about the amount of fat I eat? 😁
Thank you I am a little confused I started using carb manager and it tells me that I can go up to 38 carbs just confused about that and don't quite understand it
You are a goddess for doing this. Thank you so much. I have been on keto for over nine months but if any of my friends asked, I will add you to my go to references, like Thomas Delauer and Dr. Berry. Speaking of Dr. Berry, this is completely random but I've always wondered if you were within the vicinity of him and could become one of his patients? I realize that is a huge HIPAA violation so if you do not want to answer I completely understand. but how cool would it be for you to be one of Dr. Berry's patients and to be documenting your journey with him as your physician? Just a little daydream of mine! 😂😂
Good evening Kristi.❤️🙏🏻😘 Hope you have had a good day? Mine was great for sure. I just watched your kite video packed with lots of good info. I might ask my kidney doctor if he thinks it would be good for me to do collagen because it probably would do my hair some good. Have a blessed day and hugs to you. Please hug the kitties and hope Quincy is doing well too? Thanks, Sue(Clearwater, Florida)❤️🙏🏻😘😷😎👼🌴👍🏻🌸✝️🌼🌷🌻💕❌⭕️❌⭕️
Research! i love when you say this!!! It seems that a number of people start the Keto Diet as they say. And they have no idea at all what it is. I spent a month researching Keto before I started. Love your videos!
Honestly, for many people it's the perfect time. They can focus on keto, don't have to worry about gatherings, going out or people discouraging them. They have time to research, meal prep and try new recipes. It's a great time for many.
@@SouthernKristi I agree I think its a great time to start. Helps your immune system and people have lots of time to cook/meal prep. And most of the keto foods are still left on the grocery shelves while everyone stocked up on the junk!
