John Temerian will go down in history as the person who reinvigorated the interest in the Viola SE30. I remember, years ago, no one cared about them (even at a local C&C, I saw one parked in the visitor parking lot, completely ignored). Everyone used to dream about the SV, possibly because it was so prominently featured in video games, but the SE30 truly is the best Diablo variant of all time and thanks to John, people are starting to appreciate that* *and my dreams of owning one decrease by the minute as the prices keep going up.
Yeah I agree, SE30 (150units) is the best Diablo other than the exclusive GT (80units). The SV was featured more in Need For Speed video games so maybe it gained popularity that way 👍
I don't know any other RU-vid channel that would've made a video like this, thank you Curated for bringing this -almost- unbelievably amazing content to car lovers everywhere!!!
I had a subscription to Motor Trend when I was 14 in 1990. The red Diablo on the cover of that year was the first time a saw a Diablo. I still remember that.
Always appreciate the opportunity to learn more and new things about cars.Seeing the passion and love for these automobiles is why this is one of my favorites
It's such a beautiful showroom! The Diablo is one of my childhood heroes; I called it my favourite car for a long long time. The SE30 was the coolest chapter of Diablo story in my opinion with the Jota really taking the dream to another level... and I'd have it in that signature light purple colour.
Diablo is my favorite and most beautiful car ever. 1st place is Diablo VT red with pop up head lights and 2nd is Diablo SE 30 jota purple. I don't like so much Diablo without pop up headlights, it's just look to normal. Btw, there is also roadster VT with pop up headlights.
Wow, fantastic video! Thank you John. Last week I drove from England to both Lamborghini museums in Italy so perfect timing to watch this now. (Family museum is sooo much better!)
Man, I'm french so sorry for the faults, your videos are so amazing and interesting so thanks and I wish you the best for the future and 2023. Thibault W.
Alpine Audio brought their red Lamborghini Diablo to my hometown in eastern Canada back in 1991 when I was 17. It was love at first sight! I could watch this content all day long! Keep up the good work.
I see that pearl purple Diablo SE30, and I hear "she's just a cosmic girl from another galaxy, my hearts in zero gravity"....... Can't believe no one has mentioned Jamiroquai's "Cosmic Girl", the purple SE30 Diablo featured prominently in that video!
As a child I wanted to design exotic super cars, until the Diablo came out. I saw it as design perfection and still just love that design today- without the wing thank you.
Wait... do I spy 3 of the Viola SE30's in one place? WOW. I'll never forget the first Diablo I saw as a kid in London, was the same silver as that roadster, I never knew cars could be so low and special.
This man is just an encyclopedia! Cool to know that his family and car roots come from right down the street from me (Springfield, Ma). Keep up the awesome work! One of these days I’ll get to visit the shop down there in Miami!
Such nostalgia. Was lucky enough to have a dad that would take me to the local Lambo dealer regularly as a kid. First new Lamborghini I saw was a 25th anniversary then there was the 2wd diablos then the vt’s, sv’s, roadsters but there was always just one new car in the showroom. Then in late 2000 when the Diablo 6.0 came out they had 5 new ones in their showroom at once, all different colours; orange, yellow, black, blue and silver. Definitely don’t get that same feeling walking into a modern lambo dealer.
Only just started but if the GT1 Stradale isn’t mentioned, I’m going to be eternally sad. Also as far as I’m aware, there were 6 SV Roadsters. Met an owner of one in the UK, even has a GT front hood.
This is an amazing video that will hopefully get long-term views as there's nothing like it online. Thanks for making it, John and team. The video got me excited enough about Diablos for me to pull the trigger on getting 1:18 models of the SE30 and the SE30 Jota I had my eyes on since the late 1990s.
Dope Video.. You really school people on the ins and outs of Lamborghini Diablos. Thank you. I'm down for an extended version Nerd all the way out... I'll watch.
Had to stop the video when going over the VT Roadster, can we get a video walkthrough of the Spyker C8 that was out front? Even if it's just a quick walk around with some detail shots would be awesome!!!
Could you also do a model year and version guide of the Muira, Countach, Gallardo and Murcielago? Also the LM, Espada and what happened to the Portofino and Cala Concept car why it never made into production?
John I’m surprised you didn’t mention the GTR at all. A gentleman here in my town has a white one. I’ve never seen it in person but he’s always all over IG posting pictures of his car at Daikoku Futo and Tatsumi PA. There are so many rare exotics here in Japan it’s crazy
Nice summary, John. Would have been great if US spec SV's got the alcantara interiors. But fortunately we did get the carbon fiber trim unlike the plastic/composite for the RoW cars. I think VVT was also only on 98-99 SV's.
I really enjoy hearing everything you have to say about the cars, but I wish your video filmer would actually film the car in high detail more, rather than hold focus on you talking. Thank you!
Hi I really like your videos on Diablo, especially when you comparing all the different models. I just have one question, do you think the 6.0 will be a better daily car compare to the 95 VT?
You guys really need to figure out your audio for these videos. A lav mic would go a long way to help prevent your voice going from a mouse whisper to yelling multiple times in one sentence as you move around the shop.
