Dear Milena, I am new to your site, and really enjoyed your information. I have seen the movie "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf, years ago, but really don't remember it. I heard of Virginia Woolf's work "A Room of One's Own", over 20 years ago - but You have inspired me to go further now, and actually read it. So, I am glad that I went on your site to investigate. I appreciated your talking about the "stream of conscious", I have been interested in the mind and have read much of Jung - and Freud, but very little of Nietzsche.
This was such a great introduction! I used to be so intimidated by Woolf and modernism in general and I think this video would have helped me appreciate Woolf (and figure out what to read) a lot sooner. 💕
Just read Mrs. Dalloway as a buddy read which helped a lot. Probably going to go for A Room of One's Own before diving into Orlando (which was my original plan)
I would definitely recommend reading A Room of One’s Own early in your Woolf journey! It gives a great insight in Woolfs structure of writing. Hope you enjoy!
Absolutely love this Milena! Maybe you can make this into a series on your channel! ☺️😊 I need to read more of her work, I always get her confused with Sylvia Plath shame on me! 😅😢
Thank you for this Beginner's Guide. I am wondering if, after reading "A Room of One's Own", you are intrigued by any of Woolf's other essays. For example, in her "Selected Essays" (Oxford World's Classics), "How Should One Read a Book?" caught my eye!🧡
