Paul George demonstrates how to paint many subjects in watercolor, offering a paint along format, this is a day to have fun painting clouds, hang in for the 2nd part, Amazing
I agree with Barbara Jones. I live in Bonita Springs, FL and having lived in other states this state has superb clouds. Even though I have been a watercolorist for years, I have not mastered the awesome clouds that I look at every day. You have inspired me to try “just having fun”. Now I will explore your other videos because you have that easy, peasy relaxing style I can learn from. Thank You so much for your generosity 😍.
I live in Florida and see beautiful clouds all the time. I’m a long time watercolor artist, and still continually learning. I don’t think that ever ends . 🌴 Tampa, Florida 🌴

I live in Salem Oregon and have been painting for two years now and I’m just getting into clouds and I really like your style. It’s very good. I also like the narration that you include in your video. Keep up the clouds coming to us thank you for everything you’ve done.
As I return to painting after 40 yrs!! I have lost a lot of skills which I am gradually getting back. You make it so sensible and easy to follow and give confidence to have a go and try- thank you
No special paper, all papers work, you cant let it set too long or start to dry, that will make it sink deeper into the paper and make it more difficult totake off
I just subscribed because of how wholesome Paul is! Listening to his voice is doing something for my inner child love this soo much!! Don’t change a thing Paul! Also your talent is outstanding!! 👏🏼👏🏼😊

Thankyou! I’ve been struggling with puffy clouds! What paper and weight did you use? I’m in the desert and my paper would have been dry in less than 5minutes.
I live in an arid climate as well, and some artists don't necessarily understand the challenges involved. I'm assuming you already wet the paper first. I use a fine mist water spritzer to keep the moisture, or l re-wet after it dries.
Wow that was so impressive! I was having trouble doing realalistic clouds and you just opened my eyes to a new way to create them. Thank you Paul for taking the time to do these videos. Can’t wait to try this😊
Lovely tutorial those clouds are amazing. Are you pressing harder towards the top and lighter at the bottom? It seems that way as you create the depth in the clouds
I never use 300lb because it cost to much and use too much paint to get to a color. The pigment sinks deep so harder to lift. Save your money use 140lb
Clouds ARE messy.... I've observed clouds for decades.Trying my best to to set some rules to find some rules to make sense of clouds. I really don't know clouds at all😂
At 1 point I thought okay. Will rule number one up.Clouds are up and then eventually I found no, when I'm in a airplane or high on the mountain. No clouds are down, so there's no rules for clouds. There's just no rules
I’m having trouble with my skies. When I began as an amateur I did good ones, im still an amateur but now I don’t know, my washes have streaks, I’m not sure if I’m using the right amount of paint and water or the right amount of water on my paper. I have to practice but I’m using Arches paper which isn’t cheap. Advice?
Hello Ryan, difficult to advise without seeing your problem. Be sure to mix the paint and water thoroughly and catch the bead of each stroke, should do it. Also be sure to practice on both sides of your paper. Good luck
I don't know what ur using but when I paper towel the blue off the "white doesn't come back nice and white. Its always a very pale blue. NEVER WHITE AGAIN 😢
You may be using a paper that is sucking up the paint at once, try DArches or Winsor Newton, use plenty of water first, drop the color on and use the towel , good luck, and thank you for watching
@@Easy-WatercolorI'm using canson 140lb and 300g cold press. I can tape it down. Doesn't matter. It still warps and I never get it to look as white as urs
what paper is this? my 25% cotton 300 gsm cold pressed is getting dry superfast. no way I can get back to the reflection part and remove the color with towel.
