Thanks 3G4G, Does the communication between the UE and the Access Network Nodeb's, is this communication encrypted? Also, is voice traffic and signaling sent both on the same "channel" to the Access Network? I know in the IMS core Signaling and Voice/Data is separated. For Example SIP is used for Signaling and H248 is used for Data/Voice. But is the same true for the UE to Access Network communication?

What modern network? It doesnt make the sense. Pls mention like that HLR in GSM & UMTS and HSS in LTE/EPC. Pls be detailed when you explain so that audience will clearly get the point.
