OF ALL the people we hold up as heroes/idols/champions, in my mind Mike Reynolds surpasses every actor/athlete/superstar. He would never want to be "idolized", but he would want to be "ideal-ized". He is a true champion, a true HERO FOR HUMANITY
I live in high humidity, lots of rain SW Louisiana. How would one build an earthship in this climate? I would love to build (or have built) an economical earthship or some kind of natural building. Keep on sharing information and inspiring people!
Hey Chris, the Earthship Biotecture Co. built an Earthship in Puerto Rico, and in some other tropical locales around the world. If it'll work in those places, it'll work in LA too! There are some videos about those tropical Earthships on RU-vid, if you want to look them up!

This structure is my dream goal. Wish to build in Bradford, NH. What could one reasonably expect to spend to build this Earthship? Getting into one would be like a jailbreak to me!
I hope to build an Earth Shop... an Earthship Wood Shop, if you will... but I'm in Canada. It's -21 right now, and the sun's going down. Where can I find info on building for those conditions? I'm sure there's a few things that'd need to be a little different.
