I'm new to CNC and building a 1200mm X 1500mm 6 Axis w/2.2kW water cooled spindle and MACH3. Have the mechanical portion completed and currently building the electrical control system. It's been a lot of fun and going well. Vectric Aspire is a nice piece of software I particularly enjoyed your video, especially when you do a closeup of the ICON you are selecting it is very helpful and I've got a lot to learn. I can't wait to get my system calibrated and up and running. Thank you for your visual help. Jack, Meadow Lands, PA, USA.

Dave. You must have been a teacher in your last life. Very clear descriptions and bite sized chunks. Looking forward to your next video. It might be worth mentioning that you can download trial versions of the software free from Vectric if you haven't done so already.

Great simple video for people new to CAD, I would add to the helpful tips on moving around the job the three icons at the top with magnifying glasses. Its hard to see on the video, but one will be probably be Zoom to Selection (where you can drag a box over the portion of the job you are interested in and the view will zoom to just that box), and the other handy one is Zoom to Fit (where it will zoom out to fit all of the job in the view). These two save a lot of faffing with scroll wheeling and panning to get exactly the view you want. PS Apologies if you cover this later :)

I am trying to do this in a way where I don't overload the viewer. Of course this will be boring to a seasoned user but I am only a learner and need the pace to be slow.

I think i saw mach3 on the screen first, since i have just begun learning about cnc and softwares, wanted to ask, isn't aspire a cam cad software, if yes why do use mach3 too, is mach3 a cam software, why cam from mach3 and cam from vertric aspire ?, something i don't understand !

I’m new to the entire CNC thing. Can this software be used with any machine I purchase or is it only specific to certain ones?
@DavidStanton
@DavidStanton 5 лет назад
Interesting point Ted Zukowski,. The software can be used to create on pretty much any machine out there. When the job is saved to code that a cnc can understand, you have a multitude of different brands of software to chose from to save to.
