i really like my T4, it's just so zippy and nimble and fun! i do have concerns about being a first batch owner with the reported ZX motor issues. i noticed that your T4 has the yellow plastic rings at both the top and bottom of the suspension. mine came with rings only on the bottom. one of the Begode guys mentioned on a FB T4 group that even the bottom ones could be removed. that seems like it would free up even more suspension travel with those things gone. nice review!
They have already been addressed new pin solution and they have moved motor factory’s, 1 thing they did that really impressed me was give all batch 1 owners 2 year warranty
Great review, Scott. I’m ride a Nik AR+ and am sold on 16’s for their nimbleness and torque compared to larger wheels in general. A T4 v2 certainly looks like a natural progression should I (n)ever decide to part with my Nikki. 😂
@@CraigTaylorYT I can teach you here in VIC starting on the Segway S Plus 2 wheeler to learn the leaning aspect with stability and then onto the 16X to learn the rest. Then you can convert the rest of the crew 😁
Yes great video production and enjoyable video--just one thing --you mentioned the C30 as a torque motor --well actually the torque motor is the C38, which a lot of the community was puzzled as to why they made this wheel with the high speed motor(since the obvious application is off-road/trail riding)🤷🏽♂️🤷🏼♂️--otherwise great video
Thanks and Yes C30 was traditionally a high speed, apparently even though this has a c30 name its been "re worked" and does in fact deliver more torque. This is just what I was told from Begode I used their term "super torque" lol Cheers and thanks for the great info
Yes man it’s no super easy, that said I had a guy come into the shop today, never been on a EUC and within 15 minutes he was ridding unassisted in the carpark
Thanks for the review Scott 👌 I had actually been looking at this wheel for a while and thought it would suit my riding style and body weight really well. Love my ks s18 but if anything happened to it the T4 looks like a similar wheel that is potentially an upgrade. I have concerns over safety and begodes reputation for batteries.... But the faster speed, knobby tire and honey comb pedals would be nice to have 😊
@@scottdaviesyoutube Appreciate the response mate. I'll look forward to it. Just moved to Brissy from Perth and left my MSP there. Looking forward to coming in very soon and picking up a suspension wheel.
The knobby is a fantastic tire, and has nice turning characteristics on the street. It is a legit 12-3.00 motorcycle tire, which means it is quite a bit bigger than a so called 3" you usually see on EUCs.
Thank you for the video! Begode motors are ranked as C30 = high speed, C38 = high torque and C40 = very high torque. T4 got C30, but it got lots of torq because of small wheel size even though it got high speed motor, but the motor is not high torque as you comment.
I am a fair weather rider on my escoots even if they have water rating, but i occasionally come across water going across a path like when there is water when someone is washing their car or it rained earlier and some is seeping out of the adjacent grass. Is the T4 ok going through that surface water on paths?
Yea man, I ride the master most days especially to the cafe for lunch. It’s 100% a lot faster and feels more solid, But the T4 feels more exciting and a lot easier to carve etc
this is probably my next uni. definitely want a suspension uni in the arsenal. good stuff bud 🤘🏼 am i crazy for liking basic grip tape peddals over the metal spiked ones?
Is this the same one I got from you? Also, you’re flying at 50 in this? How do I stop the wobbles? I got them at 35 and smashed myself. I am riding on a dirt road though. Is this why?
Don’t be like the reviewer, wear stout ankle protection (you’ll thank me later), wrist protectors and knee and elbow guards as well as the skid lid. Not too hard to learn, but easy to come unstuck on if you’re not as careful as you should be. Safe riding!
@@freeforester1717 Yep, I'm an old as dirt eboard rider. I learned the hard way when it came to safety equipment. Now I wear knee and elbow pads any time I got out. Although it's a safe bet I'll never get one of these.
The cold hard truth is the T4 has LESS starting torque than my modded 84v Nikola, with same diameter tire, and same height pedals. You heard that right - it requires more lean to get the same "go", almost like a bigger wheel. There is a hill I can make up with my modded Nikola, and so far cannot make it up with the T4, because it requires more lean, compromising traction. My old T2 is significantly more zippy from a start than the T4. Makes me sad that the old wheels are still better in this regard.
To be very honest, it’s hard to hold a camera stick. When I’m not filming I wear them. I have a new set arriving this week to test out hopefully and work.
Yea but the 2nd year your dealer has to cover, (I think) at least now they won’t be out of pocket for that 2nd year parts cost . it will remove some $$ stress from the dealer network if all the stators decide to slip out 12 months time 😬
@@scottdaviesyoutube I think as a whole the companies need to up their game. Leaperkim sherman s amazing suspension design but unclear on battery tech or IP rating. Inmotion v13 amazing specs great bms and weather proofing suspension looks dodgy and the test video it looked like the battery will drain rather fast. Kingsong s22 great motor weatherproofing etc etc horrible slider design that holds back what is otherwise a great suspension design.
