/ richiekotzenmusic This is a live video recording of me performing the Who song Behind Blue Eyes. The audio recording was captured using the U87 microphone you see in the video as well as an SM57 which is off frame to my right.
You saved me. You are a huge inspiration to me, your music, and covers have helped me out of so many dark mindsets. I repeat you saved me.. I am glad you walk this earth, and I came across you years ago. Everything you've wrote relates to me in some kind of way... I don't know what I would do without your music. No artist has touched my heart the way you did with your music. I would do anything just to shake your hand one day, and say thank you.
@@leejustiss6331 Top in the rock, BES soul genre, IMO. Who operates on a comparably high level in a combo of vocals, guitar and songwriting? I haven’t seen anybody yet…
Is there any song in this world that if you touch it does not turn out great afterwards? I'm speechless and moved in my soul again. This creeps deeply under my skin. Thank you for sharing your gift! Love your emotionality...
there are no words to describe this...absolutely breathtaking...Richie is a great musicians and one of the best singer around and there's so much passion in what he's doing day after day... thanks for your music man and for being a gift from the sky...by the way this is such a cool version of the who's best song....
Killer cover! Cannot wait for the Kotzen - Sheehan - Portnoy project to be released. Hope that recording gives Richie the commercial acclaim that he deserves. Real music rules!!
Wow. This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and Richie, man oh man. Amazing job. I think I like this better then the original and the covers. Amazing job, I love your vocals, and of course guitar.
as usual - always blowin' us away - music is just so much more than just technic - it's feeling and passion - only few musicians nowadays are blessed like you... would really like to hear you soloing over that number - c ya
The fact that this guy is not in any charts , and not as big as he should be in the us just shows you how badly the system is corrupt ! this guy is a legend !!!!!
Great version Richie!!!! unbelievable voice!!! Amazing!!! wish i could sing like that!! been tryin really hard practicing to reach that high note, but i end up always hurting myself.
I think the same, dude. He is awesome, he is a FANTASTIC guitar player, probably the one I like the most and is a fucking great singer, his voice is soulful. This man right here is someone I envy, I wish I could sing and play half of what he can :(
I almost cried... I love you, your voice and mostly everything that u sing. Keep posting videos like that, please. Bless you, Richie Kotzen. Kisses from Brazil! :)
I dig this big time...nothing too complicated but it's still fun to listen to. How about some old school songs Kotzen-ized like...I'm a Loser by The Beatles. I bet you can do interesting stuff with that one
This is fantastic.... you should be required to do one acoustic cover every month. Thanks for sharing Richie.... you should make this recording available on iTunes.
[Verse 1] No one knows what it's like To be the bad man, to be the sad man Behind blue eyes No one knows what it's like To be hated, to be fated To telling only lies [Chorus] But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free [Verse 2] No one knows what it's like To feel these feelings like I do And I blame you No one bites back as hard On their anger, none of my pain and woe Can show through [Chorus] But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free [Bridge] When my fist clenches, crack it open Before I use it and lose my cool When I smile, tell me some bad news Before I laugh and act like a fool And if I swallow anything evil Put your finger down my throat And if I shiver, please give me a blanket Keep me warm, let me wear your coat [Outro] No one knows what it's like To be the bad man, to be the sad man Behind blue eyes
This should of been released on his latest 50 for 50 album. The most underrated musician period. If I was Brett Michaels I throw him out of my band too(poison sucks) and no bullshit girlfriend excuse either. I mean how do you compete with a great talent like this Richie has it all awesome guitarist, singer song writer, and good looks. This guys is so good he plays jazz fusion, metal, blues, funk, old Motown so versatile and very smart to remain mostly a solo artists. However, Richie if your reading this please give us a new winery dogs record you guys are awesome.
