This timepiece really has a unique feel and touch to it thanks to its gallet shaped case and what to say about having the dial and crown twisted by 45 degrees!
But this timepiece' originality actually comes from a 100 year old design, thus its name, and it is just a perfect example of how some things can simply go through time and remain just as pertinent!
Vacheron Constantin to mark the occasion has now come up with three new models, including a limited version part of the Platinum collection.

One of my faves and for the past year was contemplating between the white and rose gold. But I just fell in love with 100th anniversary platinum. The applied Arabic numerals, the bright finish white hands, platinum dial and finally the special thread got me. Love at first sight. I’ve already sent an email my AD to see if I can get my hands on one.

My favorite is the VC Overseas blue dial Perpetual Open-worked in pink gold. Now that’s a very nice watch. Hope to obtain this year!

A nice watch, but one thing is absolutely infuriating. The seconds subdial isn't on the same 45° angle, as the main dial. It's instead pointing to twelve o'clock as on a usual watch. On the original models, it's also on a 45° angle. Really infuriating for me.

Hi, I am going to buy a Patrimony 42mm manual or a Historique American 1921, but I would like you to explain why there is such a high difference of price between the two models despite they have the same caliber 4400. Gorgeous conceptually. Perhaps lugs should have been longer and more curved downwards. Watch is quite large and does not sit flat on top of the wrist.

Always have loved this watch, the new White Gold version is an instant classic. The leather strap was made in Italy by ? With his heavy accent, I could not understand the name of the company who produces those beautiful leather straps.
