I must say that Costa is quite a nice coffee, I have never had a nice coffee in starbucks, it's weak as dish water.

The cappuccino should have a ring of coffee so you taste coffee first then milk. She didn't swirl the espresso around the cup

Brilliant story to tell. Last day I was in the Costa coffee shop, where I work, and then a man came in and said he wanted coffee. He was smelly man. Tomek did not like him. Tomek said we didn't have any coffee. And then the man just went!

I remember watching this video 5 years ago having little to no knowledge on coffee. Now I've learned all about the process and the origins of coffee from various people and documentaries. I am now about to buy my first espresso machine. Can't wait to use it!

Costa is the choice for me. I only drink cappuccinos. Most of the time, the baristas get it right but on the odd occasions, they have been really badly made and I have taken them back, although this is obviously down to inadequate training and seems to only affect the franchises. Where some of the independent stores fall is they only offer one or two sizes for coffee and they are just too small for me.

Just going trough the 'popular' archives to set me up for the day. It's given me a whole new perspective of Baristas and Costa Coffee .. I'm going out of my way to try the "nectar" Corcado .. 😀

Well, thanks for explaining - credit to you. I'm sure Costa, in general, makes pretty good coffee. Just that I needed a good strong cup to get me going again, and that day it was lousy. As I said, I blame the staff, no. one, then management, because if you work at serving coffee you should be able to make a good cup every single time. The smart looking young man who made mine got everything right, except the coffee I walked half a mile for! I wish more people put their heart in to their work... I used to love Costa & spend at least £20 PW Now it' seems to have rapidly gone down hill & tasteless coffee & often far to hot & they have dropped the sourdough bacon & sausage baps for buttered M&S In a Liverpool Costa I ordered a cappuccino & my cup was almost empty I said it weighs nothing Her reply was as soon the froth goes down it'll fill up Anyway no point in arguing But the grin on people's faces was well worth the rip of coffee Anyway I go to Mc Donnald's now for my flat white & I can get breakfast for two for the same price as two coffees at Costa & Mc Donald's flat whites are really good if they bother to get in the cups, even had issues with them, no fun to get to the order kiosk with five vehicles behind you & ten in front to be told they have no cups Blood pressure going up again I don't feel good running an outlet as big as Cost down, but I expect value for money Bye bye Costa, now I'll look out for independent coffee bars Plenty in the South West of England that'll put the big boys to shame

As a barrista Maestro I can tell you that 90% of the staff do not care about their coffee. They knows that there's a method and a way to do the drinks, but they're too lazy to do it properly! It's sheer laziness I LOVE my job, but they don't share the sentiment. Ask them about the coffee they're making.

Agree with others. Coming from a city with lids of good coffee and independent cafes (Melbourne), when ever I visit Britain it is Costa that has the most decent barista made coffee. Hate Starbucks and Nero and others.

Cortado is delicious but too small. Flat white every time for me. Great review as I always wondered how these were made. Could you ask the waitress/coffee making bird, why foamy milk makes me water poo an hour after I drink it?

I prefer Costa than any other and cortado is my fav

Costa should have kept to brewing the whitebread beer, traitors

a cappuccino should be 1 shot the same as a latte but because they are the same volume cup the troth takes up the room in the cup making the actual beverage of the cappuccino stronger and a flat white has 2 shots (personal opinion for 12oz beverages)

Never liked Costa coffee it just name and brand no taste

I bought a Costa flat white today. Honestly, abolute rubbish. All milk (Alpro incl) and no real coffee taste at all. May as well have used a spoon and a half of the cheapest instant granules - it would have been better! Best described as a warm runny mocha milkshake... The branch was in Thornton Heath. I blame the staff, management and every local customer. The coffee business in general has become ridiculous. £2.90p for that! Sad really because the average Brit nowadays has been conditioned to mediocrity and knows no different. Where's the pride? Initiative? they don't exist today. I can make a really great cup of coffee - it's easy really...

People who work in coffee shops in general (and Costa is no exception) Are the rudest people I've had the mispleasure of meeting.

Mcdonalds make the best coffee, i don't see the fascination with this overpriced rubbish.

Costa has to be one of the worst coffee chains in ireland,over priced yes 3 euro for a regular americano that is piss poor and weak tasting,flavourless.the smaller independent coffee shops are much better i wont darken their door again.
