While BuddyTV was visiting the Knight Rider set, Justin Bruening talked to us about his green screen work and the special effects behind the series. www.buddytv.com...
Many of you seem to forget that even production companies and top producers can't foresee the weather. Many times they will resort to green and blue screens for cars because the skies in their locations are simply overcast. And because it's easier to get all the right expressions from the actors, because you don't have to worry about having to back the car up again to redo a driving shot. I agree that the real stuff is always better, and more realistic, but I do not see a problem with green screen driving scenes. They can be made good, like really good. Check out Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy or The Green Hornet. It looked pretty good in those films. Not always perfect, but still fine. And at least they're not using an overabundance of CGI for these scenes, but mostly actual driving plates, shot with a moving car. But yeah, still nothing can't compete with the real deal.
Green screen? Man, what happened to the good old days when David Hasselhoff actually used to drive KITT out on location? I know there were times where you could either see a part of a camera attached to the car or a shadow, but at least the actors could actually drive the cars while shooting conversation scenes.
@@procta2343 The front tow bar never really bothered me. I actually used to think that was part of a Pontiac Trans Am that wasn't included on stunt cars. Discovered later it was actually a tow bar connected to the vehicle towing KITT as they filmed interior scenes.
I like the old knight rider and the new too. But they should choose another car for kitt. Modified Ford GT Race Car or something. A car that seems more fast. And the "combat mode" is silly. But i love the new Knight Rider!
As I understand it and I might be wrong or mislead but I was told that the pilot steering wheel which was made by Momo wanted more money than what it was in the original contract and the producers from KR cut Momo out of the deal and with that...removed the gullwing wheel along with it. AKA...it was about Momo's greed for the money and lots of it.
oh, and what happened to the truck rolling w kitt backing out/going on while the truck is in motion??? these things ere signature aspects of the classic show. i hate it!
I would realy like to see K.I.T.T. with his original 80's voice. It realy sounds so formiliar...this new voice realy sucks and is even more like a computer than the original series. It took some time to get used to the new car, and now it's fine by me...but I realy dislike that terrible voice. Only because of that it isn't K.I.T.T. anymore...very poor.
there over reacting, dont expect a lot but its worth a watch, its knight rider its still cool, the only thing its missing is tha hoff rolling up in the old kitt lol
Justin is a great new michael knight i just dont understand why they incist in calling him mike traceur, also it´s to much fu**ing love + boring feelings, i belive i speak for everyone when i say that we want more fighting and less loving ok XD
the new knight rider is crap. its a big Ford commercial, as well as that mustang is junky looking. Should've went Corvette. They completely ruined KITT. ..paint changes color and stuff. The 80's Trans Am looked more techy than this rice-stang.
they fucked up everything! this show has almost no resemblance of the old show...at least kitt could've had the same voice...they changed the steering wheel, the make of the car..at least go w the camaro or something. And the plot sucks...it's just like another fast n furious movie spoof...it's ridiculous...especially that wing on the back...go check out leno's test drive.
This show sucks, the acting sucks and the plot sucks. I couldnt stand to watch 30 minutes of these so-called "agents" who remind me of a government version of 91210 - The old knight rider was way better.
