This whole Mille Miglia trip, in my opinion, has been some of the best content you’ve ever made Sam. I’ve already rewatched the videos twice, it was the perfect balance of beautiful shots and just talking/filming. And I can already tell I’ll be re listening to this podcast a lot, definitely one of my favourites to date. If you’re doubting it all, this was 100% worth it, even if it’s just for my enjoyment! 😂

Not entirely sure But Sam did show that he has moved studios, so he was probably in the process of doing so when he recorded this and he didn’t have any cameras going for that reason

Honestly the Millie Miglia content is the best stuff you've done. It had tension and ups and downs. Loved it. I wish you guys would do it again.

Congrats to you both. I for one, enjoyed every minute. As I have said, for rookies, I think you worked well once you had a handle on the timed sections and roadbook. I think Tony probably surprised himself at his abilities too. I am just glad you got the 360 back in one piece! I think you should go back and do it again in a modern Ferrari with a shared drive....but there are other similar events (maybe not quite so iconic), which involve less crowded roads and nicer hotels....in Spain for example.

We really appreciate that you tried it and documented it for us, it was amazing to watch, I do think if they'd put your car in the right position (in terms of year of manufacturer) I think you may have enjoyed it more, being with cars and could match the same speed instead of being with all the modern stuff. Regardless, it was fantastic to watch and i'm pleased you did it

Enjoyed the rally content. The Mille organizers should give you a free one next year to rectify their clerical error. Your experience will probably be different if you're placed in the proper car group.

Incredible stories, love the honesty too. The highs and lows are what make it special. The journey you're doing with the 360 is really something, it has so much more depth than most other car content you can find these days.

Thanks for the honesty. How and when to drive fast is a conversation that needs to be had, especially in the UK where there is often a lot of reckless driving in built up areas. If you’re in very rural parts of the country with only yourself at risk, knock yourself out. But there is a time and place.

I have driven in a lot of countries in Europe, North American, South America, and Italy I think is the one you have the most fun driving, even with the potholes and crazy drivers.

So true about some Italian drivers being nuts. I recently cycled Milan to San Remo. A lot of what you say I can fully relate to. The passion of the Italian people for the event cheering you on cars beeping to say hello. Sadly the odd person does forget that there is other people on the roads. The secret to a place in Italy to get a good road is to actually pay for the giro to come. Then the road gets renewed especially on the decents

Hey Sam & Tony, A really enjoyable 52 minutes. Great to hear of both the ups and downs. Of your amazing Mille Trip. As for the 360, how wonderful to do this in its 29th year. In my opinion a better sounding engine than any of the current crop of modern Ferrari V8’s.

Well done for mentioning the dangerous driving. Its a known Mille Miglia issue with those driving the modern stuff. The organisers really should do something about it, it will one day be the end of peoples lives and the event. People with more money than they know what to do with, feeling like they are on their first holiyday on their own.

It’s funny I’m listening to you talk about wanting to do the trip again but in a modern car. Did it occur to either of you what it must be like for the people doing the same event in cars in period from as far back as the 1920s? Your 360 is like a spaceship in comparison. I’d like to see you do it in a Porsche 356! 1000 miles in that tiny car!

My son and I used to do the regulation rallies. We did Friday nights 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturdays early morning to late afternoon. Awesome experience even when you get lost but it is constant work and you are beat by the time you are done. Would love to do this event.

Sam You have done the recce, learnt heaps and spent heaps this year. Now you have a pretty good idea of how to do it as a leading competitor. It would be a shame not to capitalise on this. I can understand if Tony doesn't want to do it again. It would be good to have somebody you can split some of the driving with and who can read a route book to step into his shoes. Vickie(can't spell) has driven round the world with you, I bet she could eat the job. Can you get a SVV1 number plate? Talk to US racers about the aircon options, they have experience of very uncomfortable heat. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you leading your group.

There are clips of an F8 going into a completely blind turn on the opposite lane where 2 sec ago a motorcyclist came around. Number plates are on tape, these guys need to get arrested asap

the thing that didnt quite come across in the content is the Mille Miglia is a classic car rally and the ferrari tribute is a side event that is a part of the main event but prob doesnt accurately reflect what is the main purpose and vibe of the event that is to celebrate the 50+ year old cars that participated in period. But nice content to bring this to a wider audience.

It’s a shame you didn’t share any of that crazy driving, it’s part of the story and those madmen (assuming they were men) are part of the experience, I have only witnessed the classic side of the miglia at end/start points, where it’s a wow event, and something I would love to do (in an eligible classic) one day, but the driving experience, good/bad is obviously the main part.

Interesting that those drivers felt safer driving recklessly in built up traffic than on empty mountain roads. Perhaps shows either a lack of understanding of how to drive fast on roads or a lack of confidence.
