I just met Gee Atherton today at the bottom of this trail at Antur Stiniog in North Wales and had along talk with him. He was competing in the British DH championships. What a top guy. He has no ego whatsoever. And a big hats off to the people behind this film, the people who built these great trails. I made an MTB film once. Its tough enough directing people, but directing a bird! Great stuff

We've had a word with Moses' owner Lloyd - he thinks that this method may be able to be adapted for rehab, as this training closely mimics a peregrine in a low level pursuit hunting scenario: with undulation, change in height, speed and direction that Gee gives. But it would take a lot of time - Lloyd has flown Moses every day for a long time to give him this fitness, which is close to that of any wild peregrine, and it is this fitness that is essential for a peregrine returning to the wild.

Wow, as a guy who regularly flies and films with multicopters (the one in the video is called a Y6, meaning 6 properllers/motors in a Y-shaped configuration), and as an avid downhillbiker as well...and who btw, is also now studying falconry and filmmaking - this video just takes the cake for me. Everything I love doing in one video. Well done, simply well done.

I like how in both the edits, it's made to look like there was a real challenge, like the man and bird were at odds with each other but on about the same level, when in reality Moses was just dominating Gee the entire time.

Absolutely fantastic video! Birds of prey are amazing animals, and this video just goes to show that. As much as I enjoy watching Gee ride a bike, he was no match for Moses :)

I wonder if this could be done to rehabilitate injured or captive falcons. I mean they seem to get good exercise and get to practice there hunting skills of chasing prey. I don't really know anything about these birds so hopefully that isnt a dumb question but after watching this video its the first thing that came to mind

So wait, the falcon is fed everyday, lives in a comfortable, natural, safe environment, gets to do what it loves to do on a daily basis and then is congratulated and rewarded when it does so, and yet this is wrong? And besides, if the bird wanted to fly away it would have done so by now, whether trained or not.

We are already playing sports with animals with each other since we are animals. If you mean non-human animals, then I agree with the non-killing part but we should also leave them alone. Period. They should be left alone and not made to do things just to entertain us.

When are they going to realize that the only part of a flying bird that is stable is the head. A phone camera really don't weigh much, strape one of those on the bird's head
