Amazing video! It gave me an idea for a London version, where we tie a dead rat to the top of our heads and see who can last the longest, before a pigeon eats it.
if you really want her back (and I know you do) you needto stop eveeerything and go watch this video right now =>>> twitter.com/3bf5259ad4884a79f/status/790853501416935424 Gee Atherton gets hunted by a PPPeregrineeee Faalcon

It was great to see Gee and the peregrine Falcon chasing him no matter what happened with the backpack in the meantime... Cheers to Gee and to the Red Bull team from a Portuguese emigrant in Holland.
"Hey, Gee? You're one of the world's best bikers. We're gonna prove this by putting you on one of the world' toughest courses while being actively pursued by a bird flying as fast as Indy cars." "...How does this show my talent as a cyclist?" "That's for Red Bull to know and you to just accept. Whoops, bird just spotted you!" *shoves*
Probably was just an extra shot that fit there nicely for the editing, I noticed it too but it was no big issue, I know how epic editing goes sometimes..
I think it was still a challenge for the Falcon, it's not just about the speed-obviously the bird didn't just snatch up the bait.... This is an awesome vid! Great job Gee, great job "The Bird", and thanks Redbull for another unique Idea and fer makin me all crazy sometimes!!!!!!!!!!
Super awesome! Everyone calm down with the continuity flaws, they filmed a run with the falcon, and other runs without it. That's the only way you get a video this well shot! Doesn't negate the utter coolness of the concept and execution. Now do it with a rally car! I guess no bird could keep up with that.
Also, his GoPro changes position (from helmet to chest, forward to backfacing) randomly through the whole video (easy check: 2:57, GoPro on helmet to 3:03, no GoPro at all, to 3:06, GoPro on helmet again). It's obviously not one take... doesn't mean it isn't legit, it just means it's not one take, and it's edited for spectacularity (which is what it's aiming at).
It's a youg falcon. You can see it by it's feathers colors and the color of the cere (flesh around the beak). The cere is gray / white while they're young and turns to yellow as they become older. So, as a young falcon, it also has not much flight experience. An older falcon probably would get it faster.
The clip at 3:16 was probably just a shot they got during practice and decided to use it as filler. Plus I think they wanted to highlight that drop from a couple different angles.
The falcon had a hard time getting it because of the turns. But it's really fast at flying straight and gliding. This time it was about raw speed and agility.
there are some other fails too: 1:22 no cam at the bar 2:19 Video shot from the bar 3:04 No GoPro on the helmet 3:47 GoPro filming backward 0:55 GoPro filming forward He wears no chesty, but 3:11 shot with chesty sorry for spelling or grammar misstakes, I`m not American
Harry Larry is original. His attempts to troll people are futile and wrought with stolen ideas. Boredom has plagued this young mans life. Harry Larry is a special person.
Reading the comments...it shows how most humans have no respect for nature and rarely think outside of themselves..that falcon probably loved going after that and trained harder than it had in its life...Plus it was awesome that someone came up with this idea and implemented it...It was cool to see the falcon kind of learn different attacks because as you know--in a video edit-there are multiple runs down the hill....This world has become full of haters and I for one applaud this video's makers
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO ! glad you used some slo-mo in the right places. but the bird had him out gunned - he could have had that at least 15 times lol that was pretty cool ! LIKE !
If you look up the behind the scenes of this video, they say that they filmed this over two days, since its impractical to film in one take. So ya, some of the scenes lack the cam and bait, but it still pretty fucking epic.
I wanna see how the falcon responds to him sending it off a big gap. The bird went for it a bunch of times while he was in the air. I watched both perspectives...very cool!
Very cool video, I loved it, but you can see that they took multiple run-throughs with and without the bird. 3:06 gopro on head, bird in pursuit. 3:10 no GoPro and no bird Still my favorite video I've seen all week.
