I thought they had just an old computer somewhere that automatically played the most viewed stream and send a screenshot with name of the channel to the website every 5 minutes or something. And that the edits were a dev just editing the screenshot after it was automatically taken. Obviously I was wrong, but I feel like it's not THAT advanced to make it work

Dude this entire time I thought it actually WAS automated and one dev was a fan and decided to mess with him in particular. This makes it SO much better

They did it with some other streamers, but not to the extend they did in this one.

The funniest part is that the text underneath the jackscepticeye image said "He is NOT reading this right now.", implying he wasn't playing the game.

I’m like 90% sure they literally just slapped jack’s face cam image over Jerma’s original screenshot that they lead in with, hence why the game perspective was a 1to1 duplicate between the two images

Picture this: They scan the QR code See one of the Jerma images, They refresh and suddenly there’s a tarantula on it Then they search up “Jerma985” for the first time in their life and see Jeremy Jerma’s facecam taking up the screen, mouth agape, sounding like he’s choking to paranormal means for a full minute

That was actually me, not even joking That’s how i found out jerma was streaming the game, legitimately one of the funniest moments of my life

lol im back here again after 2 years through a random youtube recommendation. Jerma nostalgia is in full force as of late because of his retirement so that may also be a contributor.

I don’t really know what marble hornets is, so that’s unintentional. I just thought it would be cool to reference the Stanley parable intro and this was the quickest and easiest way to do that.

@@red-raxmarble hornets is a creepypasta inspired(??) analogue horror (?????) ive never seen it aside from small clips but it the beginning is pretty similar

⁠​⁠@@cowabangermarble hornets came before creepypasta, it was inspired by the original slenderman photos from the contest hosted on the something awful website. However i can understand the confusion as masky and hoody where promptly adopted into creepypasta lore/fandom. And its not really an analog horror series, its more of a mix of found footage horror with, like horror vlogging elements. Technically it was also an arg as there was the other channel "to the ark" which had to be found thru clues in the marble hornets videos. There was also a twter page ran by jay, who would give in universe updates. The beginning is very similar to the start of marble hornets (black background, white text explaining things) (Also sorry lmao im. Like. Really autistic and internet horror has been a special interest of mine for years)
